Human beings are very strange indeed. I recall how much this man resented his father for not being there for him and how much he loved his mother. He has his own children and turns out treating his legacy the way he disliked being treated. It's very hard for us as human beings to see the err of our own ways, yet we're so hard on others. I pray all families can find a way to do better. This is a painful thing for children and parents.

Al B turning down Poison has to go down as one of the dumbest moves in music history.

When light skin was in🤣 my favs are "Night and Day", "Off On Your Own", even though these two were not his song but the part he did on "Secret Garden" and when he sang on Heavy D "Somebody For Me". I respect him for being in the game so long and that you can still hear his hits and say "Ayeeeeee that's my jam"

Nite and Day, sure brought back a memory. I was crushing on a co- worker (nothing materialized, ffw to decades later, glad that i didn't pursue any further). I'm glad that his health got better.

The voice of "unsung" is Gary Anthony Williams (Boondocks, Boston Legal).

Fun Fact: "Poison" by Bell Biv DeVoe was ORIGINALLY supposed to be Al. B Sure!'s song for his second album Private Times...and the Whole 9!👨🏾‍🦱🤍🖤♥, but he rejected it because he felt that it was time for himself to mature aka "he already went through that phase already with his first album" & I know deep down that later on, he regretted rejecting that song frfr💯

Nite & Day is his only hit song that still gets radio exposure til this day. We still hear this song everyday. The beat is still fire!!! That’s what you call real R&B music!!!

I thought Quincy was his only child, since it was said he’d written Jodeci’s ‘Forever My Lady’ for Kim. I guess he didn’t really believe that “there’s nothing more precious than to raise a family”?

Al has always struck me as equally as much of a narcissist as Puffy, just with less resources. He talks cryptic because it garners attention and ppl will literally believe anything about Puffy because his name is so burnt. He had a baby on Kim JUST like Puffy did and more than likely treated her like crap or she would’ve stayed. Something about him just doesnt sit right with me.

i was a kid when Al B. Sure was at his peak, but "Night and Day" and his other hits were all over the radio. I'm glad he's doing well. The Quincy part (and naming Puffy as his father figure/mentor) took me out, I wasn't ready.

Al did to Quincy what was done to him by his father. Al's story is a tale of why we have to get help for our childhood traumas, so we don't repeat history.

FUN FACT……..AL’s son QUINCY IS NAMED AFTER QUINCY JONES….

That marriage was extremely traumatic very toxicity…. It was dreadful he never ever wanted to talk about that relationship…..

He stayed in the tabloids …

Wondering if Diddy knew they were married giving the tight hold he had on her since it was never talked about it makes sense why no one knew.
