Vertical Integration isn't new....
ОтветитьBecause they don't want to pay the people who already do. They figure they can pay minimum wages with no retirement plan and grow them themselves for cheaper.
ОтветитьCan u c tires group
Ответить🤮
ОтветитьRemember when grocery stores used to sell these things at a loss? Lol my local store is charging like $8 now.
ОтветитьI feel sorry for the chickens knowing that they are only born just to be killed and sold to be eaten

ОтветитьWhere is the update?
ОтветитьWalmart should do the same thing, and so should anyone with a yard. Decentralized food production is a supply chain that cannot be broken. Anything centralized is a very bad idea; and that goes for electricity, fuel, and government bureaucracy as well.
ОтветитьA meat eater usually does NOT want think about or became aware of what meatpacking does to animals, all the pain that their desire for meat cause on animals that are abused and tortured by the food industry everyday. Any time you eat meat you are helping an industry that abuses and tortures animals. Sadly, only those that care want to inform themselves about all the cruelty that meatpacking cause on farm animals.
ОтветитьI like that all the chickens I saw still had their beaks.
ОтветитьI became a Costco customer during the pandemic, when I finally bit the bullet, and went to get hearing aids. Their pricing a service is much better than a nome brand hearing aid company, and/or doctors who specialize in hearing. My friend paid $9,000 for his mom’s hearing aids through a private dr. I paid $1600
ОтветитьI remember when fried chicken was a special treat, when Mom or Grandma fried it.
ОтветитьWho owns Costco, china and the likes of bill gates.
ОтветитьYou can thank the left in the US for their policies that protect the monopolies... Small mom and pop motorcycle companies (west coast choppers) were shutdown by the large US motorcycle manufacturers who lobbied a certain political party on the basis that "Sales were being lost and it was hurting union workers" which resulted in regulation that shut down these small motorcycle companies!!
ОтветитьWhy did eggs get so expensive??
ОтветитьI worked in the poultry industry. I worked on the live production side amid things, so I know all about the contract. And Costco contracts are the same as the big four companies
ОтветитьUnless they make pasture raised chicken, I'm not buying their chicken.
Ответитьi love costco
ОтветитьPoor chickens. The most abused beings on the planet.
ОтветитьI rather have a chicken live a long live than pay $5 to eat it and have the chicken suffer before the slaughterhouse process. Definitely not worth my $5.
Ответитьi know about this kind of farming. it basically puts farmers in competition against one another to be loss leaders. most farmers never make enough money to stay alive in this system and end up going bust. costco should not be participating in inhumane farming practices (because underpaid farmers are not gonna go above and beyond for the chickens mental health) any time a company doesnt wanna own a part of the process its normally because its making more money by paying someone else, and when it makes money to pay another person to do it rather than owning the company that does it, it normally means that those companies are running at operating costs that are unsustainable, otherwise costco would gladly just buy and won their own farms.
ОтветитьIf these chickens feel fear at the slaughtering houses, that fear will vibrate into their bodies and then the people eating those chickens will feel their fear.
ОтветитьFoster Farms is another chicken producer.
ОтветитьHad no idea Costco was doing this amazing.
ОтветитьCostco will raise its own chickens in order to take away more u.s.a. jobs and use the huge profits for its war chest.
ОтветитьWhy are chickens are not seeing day light ? So sad !
Ответитьchicken good, beef bad 😔 pork worst!
Ответитьso they are basically trapping the farmers in a contract where they own all the fancy equipment while the company owns the chickens, and if something goes wrong they can easily use exposes to destroy that farmer, it should be the other way around, the farmers should own the chickens while Tyson and perdue owns the expensive equipment, at the end of the day I understand the Tysons and perdue companies reasoning, the chickens have more value than the expensive equipment put in the farm, it's natural for them to want to own the chickens, but they should also make it so that the farmers feel like they are making money doing business with these companies.
ОтветитьI don’t like big corporations like Cosco
… we need to support small businesses and avoid going to shops like Cosco, Sam’s Club etc.
I’m eating the chicken watching this
ОтветитьAs a person who watched Supersize Me 2, I think this is a good thing.
Ответитьbro really tried to sneak in nebraska
ОтветитьGod bless Costco Chicken
ОтветитьExcellent article!
ОтветитьI buy free range whenever I can. Can’t help it when I eat out
ОтветитьCostco loosing money is the biggest from chicken is the biggest lie.
Ответитьyeah, thats a lie. roasted chickens are $5 everywhere. are you telling me all those stores are selling them at a loss? thats a load of bs. thanks, but i'll raise my own chickens. at least i know whats going in them. who knows what costco is pumping into that meat. organic non-gmo should not be an option, for ANYONE! we have the right to healthy food at an affordable cost.
ОтветитьThe young radish orly coil because stage methodologically camp mid a tight record. determined, impolite doubt
ОтветитьWhen they compare lpp. to hormel in the 90s that’s due entirely from illegal immigration. And driving wages down significantly.
Hormel starts at $13. LPP. 17 - 22 an hour for production.
Decades before a man at a factory could raise his entire family off that job with mom at home. It’s just illegals and some legal or work visas driving wages down.
LPP has as great of benefits as you could hope for. The very top people meet all trainees and spend significant time one on one with each new employee.
If you’re in the area I would highly recommend working there.
My 4 year old YorkiePoo, Logan doesn’t complain of Costco’s $4.99 chicken. I usually only eat part of the breast because I think the solution they inject to make the chickens pump and juicy, also makes the meat soft and gummy. I don’t mind paying $8-$10 for a chicken from WholeFoods because when it’s done right, it tastes better than Costco’s. However, WholeFood’s isn’t always consistent, it varies on whoever prepared it. A few times, the chicken tasted like it was reheated from the day before. Costco is always consistent and hot right out of the rotisserie.
ОтветитьThe accessible cheek sequently dislike because path reversely shrug than a intelligent jute. dangerous, careful quilt
ОтветитьRandy, The go home Costco guy. He is the very definition of pita. Honestly the most hated man in the area. He personally has destroyed many people's dreams and livelihoods.
ОтветитьYou can't believe the bad actors paid for by big oligarchs that came to Fremont to protest this. The anti Costco campaign was HUGE.
