The video says 1 Tbsp per quart. Then says a gallon(4qts) requires a cup of salt?

But there are 16 Tbsp in a cup…should it have been 1/4 cup of salt for a gallon? Or 4Tbsp of salt pert quart? What am I missing?

add vinegar to brine, it'll tenderize that pork, less salt, keep overnight in fridge

Hmmm. 1 Tablespoon salt per QUART = FOUR Tbsp Salt per Gallon (1 cup salt = 16 Tbsp or FOUR TIMES as much)

wait what? The most important this is getting your ratio's right, 1 TB of salt per quart does not equal 1 cup of salt per Gallon,

1 cup of salt per
1 gallon of water.
1 hours of soak time per
1 pound of meat.

Pretty simple, just remember the ones & and just as necessary.

If you use ONE tablespoon of salt per quart that is FOUR tablespoons for a gallon. A CUP of salt is SIXTEEN tablespoons! That will be a STRONG brine.

I watched many recipes abot salt/water ratio which is most important and everyone have different ratio, why using cups ?? You didn't hear for grams ? Or forget about grams, just give fuc..g percentage, 2% 5% 20% of salt in water, and everyone can calculate ...

Hey buddy, you said 1 tablespoon of salt per quart of water, then your put 4 times that amount 16 tablespoon in a gallon, or 4 tablespoons per quart? I’m confused; there’s a huge difference between both.

1 tbsp salt for every quart of water or 1-1/2 oz of salt for every quart of water (which equals a 1/4 cup per quart.)
