What always annoys me about these courtroom fight videos is there's always some hysterical woman screaming in the background who's apparently nowhere near the action.

Im so sick of people for putting themselves in these situations. And then when it's time to face the judge it's a problem.

In this case he is the police prosecutor and is prosecuting the case. Matters before more senior courts are prosecuted by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Australian police forces cover the entire state - there's no local police forces.

So had he not fought, he probably would've just spent a little more time in jail until the trial and then just pay a fine. Don't get why people feel the need to make it harder for themselves, it only adds to their sentence time.

One of the saddest roads a human can go down: Creating bigger problems by short-sightedly trying to solve smaller problems. All this over a few days in jail and a $320 fine. I feel saddest for those kids.
