Hi Matt! Quick question: RC says that now you can't check out before the itinerary ends, BUT they also say (at the phone) that they can't keep you on the ship against your wish, and so many time passengers "miss" the ship. I'll be leaving earlier my cruise next September, on Napoli, and I'll not ending it at Barcelona as it is supposed. Do you think that this could be a problem? Do they allow me to take my passport and bags and just dIsembark? Will they apply a fine or something. THANKS AGAIN!

I'm a pretty savvy veteran cruiser on RCL, but I learned a new item that you will not be allowed to bring on board ship.

Squirt Guns. I brought along some toys to have fun with on the private island, and even though they were empty, my plastic squirt guns were confiscated until I got them back, after disembarking in Miami. I found this a bit of a stretch to ban plastic toys, but they are getting very nit picky. So don't try bringing them along.

One thing I heard about being not allowed is tourch lighters. On another note, if knives are not allowed, what about cigar cutters? Technically it's a sharp object, and one could cut their finger off

What if you have two cpap machines that need to be plugged in. How does that happen without extension cords.

I never understood why Royal did not follow the lead of Princess and Carnival and have one or more ironing and laundry rooms on board. Since you cannot bring irons on board it would nice to know that one day/evening you could go to that room and iron clothes that needed it.

Baby monitors surprised me

One thing that you ARE allowed to bring and use on board that might surprise you. You can bring and use your own Flowrider board.

I feel that ham radios should be in the same category as drones. I understand that using one on board could be problematic, but, assuming the ham operator in question has followed the local laws and regulations, just having it with you shouldn't be a problem.

In this day of technology I don’t understand the ban on Amateur Radios(Ham), they do not interfere with any navigational equipment. On a recent transatlantic cruise due to the ban to use my equipment in the Netherlands where I had friends, I think that policy needs to be re-thought.
