I am in the UK as you prob know by now, its 7.15am here are I have 5 outside my patio doors enjoying the almonds and walnuts I just gave them. we have 2 new babies at the mo .

Awww, love this! We feed all the animals too, including deer, squirrels, birds, sandhill cranes, ducks, including a one legged duck that my husband worries about if he doesn't come for his food. All wonderful creatures. We don't deserve them. They are better than people.

....Has anyone seen behaviour like this?..I feed my squirrels shelled peanuts and cashews. I also have hummingbird feeders. A couple of smarter, bolder squirrels decided that they like the incredibly sweet hummingbird juice. So that was a bit of a disaster as they trashed the feeders by actually prying off the feeder's "flowers" to get access to the juice. I punished them by withholding their nuts. They seem to have plenty of food this time of year anyway. They seem to find "something" to eat on the lawn every foot or so that they travel. I still feed the unfortunate ones....Mr Eye Infection...and Mr Birth defects ....but the rest weren't getting any nuts. THEN.....soybeans began turning up on my back doorstep. Those little buggers are trying to barter with me. Soy beans aren't even ready yet...these must be seed beans taken from a field a few blocks away from my house. Anyway....they are smarter than I thought they were. Of course I immediately collect my soybeans so they think I value them...and the nuts are flowing again.

It's the relaxing moments of my day, watching Squirrels at the Window, they are so lovely, and in the main, so gentle (yes I know occasionally there'll be a spat, but that seems to get forgotten quite quickly), and for me, being over 80 and living in England, once all the political clap-trap is out of the way, this fills my heart with the joy of nature.

Lefty tryin to stuff 3 nuts to carry an failing is brillient its like me when i try to carry 12 bags of shoping from the car in 1 trip an a bag splits 😭🤣🤣🤣
