I would like to know why a blood clot (Deep vein thrombosis) was never considered-Corey was c/o leg pain on the day he passed. There is no doubt in my mind that the treadmill potentially could have contributed to sudden death. I personally know of a case where a 5 year old boy was cleared medically following a 15MPH fender bender in his mothers car, only to pass away several days later from this condition caused by a seat belt. We heard a lot about post mortem findings which are considered routine in any unnatural death, but I never heard a discussion about his lungs or brain-at least not in depth. In my opinion, SEPSIS is being overused as a defense in a lot of unnatural deaths since SEPSIS awareness kicked off in 2007. SEPSIS presents itself as an obvious clinical feature, meaning nobody with a medical or nursing degree would question its volatile onset AFTER death. One of the most common symptoms is extremely low blood pressure and drop in body temperature, despite the overwhelming infectious process. As organ failure assumes the course of SEPSIS, the medical staff would have immediately started IV antibiotics, which they did not. They were looking for pneumonia when his heart stopped-why then didn't we discuss sputum cultures? The dad killed his child.

The question to be asked is why this child developed sepsis, it doesn’t happen in isolation but is a consequence of trauma or infection which is evidenced by the incident on the treadmill.

the symptoms the boy had according to the nurse they questioned sounded like head injury to me. i dont know how he would have gotten sepsis without some other infection but also how do you not have a fever when you have sepsis? his temp was 96.7 or close to that. from what i know of sepsis (because my mother was an lpn my whole life that bleached everything being a germaphobe) sepsis is when you have an infection that gets into your blood and usually people are in so much pain from that the have to induce medical coma until the infection is almost gone... but infection like that would have caused high fever. i might be wrong but i dont think i am
