£2,000 vs £200,000 luxury SUV!

Sort of thing someone like Elton John would drive. Would rather have a brand new old one over the new one but I think peak Range Rover is the model (not shown) in between them. An analogy would be new one is like a Japanese sex robot. Old one is like a top drawer wife.

The new ones are rubbish, i used to work for Jag/LR and when i used to wash and valet them, the trim would fall off etc and break down often. Definitely not worth the money asked for them. Also please don't encourage people to write off and scrap old examples if they go wrong. If someone wants to put the time and money into getting them fixed then let them! It's a shame that older cars are getting less seen on the road due to scrappage! EVs should be the ones getting scrapped in my opinion

Milky oily residue on the oil can, can also o alot of them time just be condensation if the car have been run alot in town and not really getting hot and so on🙂 but if it is on the dipstick you have problems eitherway 😂

Just don’t try to insure it, sadly it’s near on impossible due to the thefts.

I ha e an unmolested 54 plate V8 Vogue with just 51k miles. It used to ekong to rhe Kuwaiti Embassy and is super clean. With a little work could be a museum car.

£2000? Definitely didn't buy it on carwow.

The reason that the range rovers loose their value so much is that they are a pain to maintain 😂 The maintaining cost of both the expensive and the cheap one is around the same.

And again my pet hate.... Why go to the trouble of designing a beautiful and technically advanced luxury car with an amazing interior and then just nail a stupid screen on front of the dashboard like a cheap Halfords accessory??? Use some of that design talent and integrate it FFS - it can't be that difficult!!!! (Does my head in.....)

Well, you didn't test this old one with a new one but with a low mileage, you compared a top end car with a car that is almost for scrap, it is more realistic to test an old car but in mint condition and with a low mileage, and the price would be much higher, people yearn for hi teck in new cars, but when it all starts to break down...darkness falls on the eyes 🙂

British "technology" - quality and price like a dream! Funny that 20 yrs ago we were saying the same about "prestige and expensiveness" despite the car was falling apart before it even left the showroom. The difference is that the old RR is still standing. In a few years we won't even open these crazy "poppy outie door handles" or whatever you call them to get inside...

That's why you either need to be clinically insane, or, have so much money it burns holes through your pockets like fluoroantimonic acid might, to buy a brand new Range Rover! 😂

The new one in 20 years will need 100k spending on it just to fix all the electrical stuff that will have gone wrong. Like a electric towbar ffs really how lazy have you got to be. Just so many things to go wrong and most of the time will put a light on the dash so will fail the mot in the uk so is worthless.

l322 came in 4.2 supercharged version i had one

Shame they are so unreliable cause it would be a great car.

My other half has a 2004 L322 Vogue V8. We love it for wafting about in. Yes it has its problems but he is a mechanic and will fix them as they arise. We don't want to get rid of it. I love driving it ❤

Its all fun and games with all the motorised gimmicks in the 200k Range Rover, but if the thing would leave me stranded on the side of the road I would get rid of it immediately , no matter how pretty the thing is inside , if you can't trust it its not a good car 😄

Old looks like a car, new looks like a crap.

Imagine how many faults that new car will have in 20 years, if, by some very small chance, it's still on the road. Stupid door handles almost certainly a fail.
