This may be cool in stores or restaurants or I don't know. But I can't understand how this can be a mass market item. No one needs a transparent TV. Keep in mind OLED screens have ALWAYS been transparent. It was mostly a matter of hiding the circuitry and well, the fact it's not a useful feature most of the time. I remember the 3D TV craze, and the "bent TV" craze, and here we go again. Gimmicks.

Samsung short throw projectors are awesome. I’ve got the 4K one and the Freestyle 2. Awesome. Recommended.

the transparent OLD screens would be perfect for all kinds of business\home applications if they were TOUCHSCREEN as well. Very star trek\other sci-fi 'esque

Other than perhaps advertising and maybe one or two other things, what's really the point if transparent TV screens?

Who wants to watch a movie when you can see what's behind it in the dark sections of a movie.

As mentioned, it may have one or two uses but definitely not as a TV screen.

Seems more of a gimmick than anything else.

These will be fantastic for film makers to use as foreground shots with performers behind the glass - blended into a scene, kind of the reverse of how Matte paintings were used in the past - but far more advanced in application.

The point of these otherwise non practical products isn’t for the purpose of selling them….it’s to show technological superiority to sell the brand.

While I have happily splurged for other Samsung hardware ( owner of a Galaxy Fold 4, previously 10Plus, right down to the first S4G, and the Odyssey Neo G9 57 inch monitor ), I can't really go for a Samsung TV as long as they refuse to support Dolby Vision, the most popular high-end HDR format AFAIK.

The next step should be a cubed holographic array that, if transparent, can be viewed from all angles.
