Jb weld is good to 287c
ОтветитьCouple concerns pcb operation when in boiling hot trans fluid and I have done similar jobs encapsulating I would have used tape or tape and cardboard as a type of form work for full encapsulation, but looks good anyways.
ОтветитьDo you have a link for the potting compound you used 👍
Ответитьhow did you seal the tronic unit halves back together?
Ответить👍🏻 Good stuff Andrew
ОтветитьDo you know where I can buy just the Output Speed Sensor?
ОтветитьI like "MG Chemicals 832HD". It comes in different sizes. Has a mixing nozzle. Same stuff that is used in lots of PCB production.
ОтветитьHey! I’ve personally done the PCB install and I would definitely recommend it as the better option. Whilst some people will have the knowledge of what wire to use, there’s a risk that some will use poorer spec wiring that will degrade and melt when up to temp. What I would say is that ryutech now offer an aluminium cap that you can silicone on instead, making it a really neat solution.
Ответить@Zero to 60 I wanted to mention to make sure to check the output shaft nut on the rear of the 8hp70 not sure if it’s just been an issue in the states but some folks have mentioned it not even being torqued correctly from dealer causing issues from vibration to completely grenade-ing translation’s 44ft pounds and rear coupler shouldn’t have any play hopefully it’s not an issue in your case but thought I’d give a heads up if you didn’t know already
ОтветитьPro tip, use a heat gun or blow torch to liquify the epoxy so all the air bubbles come up to the surface
ОтветитьComing along great! Like the idea of the pcb bypassing everything. Looking forward to seeing it in action. Have an eta on hitting the pavement?
ОтветитьI’m earthed
ОтветитьGreat content, ready to see how it holds up! You guys helped me make a decision on my 17t purchase yet to be installed lol. Was curious if yall know have a number for the fastest 60 to 130 on a stock turbo e90 335i xdrive manual? Full interior.
ОтветитьYeah, that mixing bag isn't looking like the best idea. People where I work use syringes only for epoxies and sealants. Also miller-stephenson is the preferred brand for chemicals.
Ответитьyesss man! awsome job
ОтветитьDamn, if our panel shop hadn't been 2 metres over the roof during the flood. I could have gotten you a heap of good epoxy for automotive use. Looks good what you have done either way man.
ОтветитьIs this epoxy oil resistant? I believe not all epoxies are.....
ОтветитьLooks just fine :)
ОтветитьWhy you don't have 100,000+++ subscription i don't know... great work keep it up!
ОтветитьGreat job Andrew! Have a great weekend. Dutch regards, Nico.
ОтветитьPlay Doh never gets old. Only now it makes you go Faster!
Ответитьidk why its so satisfying to watch tho lol
ОтветитьOnce you’re done, I would love a price breakdown video
ОтветитьI couldn't find where it said that the epoxy used was resistant to long term contact with petroleum based chemicals
ОтветитьHey bud I wanted to say thank you!!! I messaged you a few weeks ago about my 335i not starting and you told me to check the ground strap and sure enough it was broke right in half. Thanks for the knowledge I would of took my starter out if it wasnt for you!
ОтветитьIt looks good Andrew. Are you going to test it again once the epoxy has set to ensure there are no extra codes?
ОтветитьKeep up the Great work
