I doubt the 5090 will really consume 600w if your a regular gamer, 4090 says 450w but barely cracks 400w, i guess its what you really use this card for, surely 550w would be more then reasonable

My 4070 super might be the last gpu I buy. I believe it's sufficience till the end of my day.

AMD was selling their cpu at much lower price, because they where worse in gaming and because people love intel.

With the 5000 series they where better at everything even gaming.

that's the reason they sold their cpu at normal prices.

CPUs where always sold at that price even back in 2011:
i5 level at 200€ and i7 300€

CPU pricing got ridiculous only now with the X3D chips.

but the cpu pricing is no where near close to GPU ridiculous pricing

Team Green users do seem to like burning money for no extra benefit. The only acceptable reason to throw money away on the purchase of an Nvidia GPU is if you require CUDA. And honestly a regulatory agency needs to step in and force Nvidia to share CUDA considering how important it is these days.

i shall be sticking with my 4090 until at least the 6090. it would have to be spectacular to get me to open my wallet. I am talking 500FPS for a full modded Cyberpunk at Max settings @ 4k with no DLSS

as long as amd dont mess up the msrp this time round i dont see how nvidia can command a higher price for at least the lower end models.

Thank god even if you criticize the 5000 series prices we all know most of you will buy it and that's good for my NVIDIA stocks that can continue to go to the moon and so I will continue to appreciate to make thousands of $ on the back of you all. Buy NVIDIA stocks and you will be able to afford your RTX 5090, hell you'll be able to buy multiple with the return profits.

really hope the pricing is not correct but ill probably skip the 50 series at least until the next year better cheaper version comes out.

More VRMs doesnt always mean more power. It could mean a design for better stability for the chip.

That awkward moment when you sell your kids for a GPU, relax...its only the unborn ones. Trolling, duh i could barely stomach the $1500 for a 4090FE but i got one used tax free, which honestly is the only way i'd ever buy a 5090 as well but they'll prob ask too much for it honestly.

The 4090 was like 2.5 or 3 % of my post tax income. Too much imo.

I've owned Nvidia since the early 2000s. And since the 900 series i only skipped the rtx 2000 series, guess the rtx 5000 will be another skip for me. My 4090 will be good for a long long time, prob longer than the 1080ti.

7900xtx sucks as much juice as the 3090 did, 4090 sucked 120w more under full draw. 6800xt is amd only gpu that has pulled close to the 4090 :|

The pricing is real, because you mugs keep buying them no matter what. All the outrage in the comments and 80% of you are still on team green. I hope they raise the price even more.

A $700 gaming console just released. PC is always supposed to be better than consoles. Therefore, GPUs will be more expensive.

This is exactly what many of us predicted. I can't imagine too many are shocked, even if they were hoping for better.

Nvidia's mind is not changing on pricing. They want every single penny we have, plus a bit more!
So, I will wait nvidia to bring the 50xx series in the market and then I will begin scanning ebay and other market places to buy an older one at a decent price.

The 4080 super here in europe is already around that price point. I hate the gpu market in europe :(
