I’m American with all of my great-grandparents coming from Poland Interestingly, the 23 and Me analysis of various members of my immediate family showed about 95% Slavic origin. The whole maternal side of great-grandparents was from Krakow and the whole paternal side of great-grandparents was from Zakopane. My dad’s maternal grandfather and uncles played Highlander Goral music and in fact, made a wax record which has since been converted to vinyl, then tape,then CD. I hear very similar harmonies and fiddle parts in these songs! Love it! It’s so great to see Slavic Tribal music. We have to keep up with those Celt and Norse bands! 🇵🇱💗
