you mention keyboard shortcuts in order to do this and that but you don't name them. Why!
ОтветитьBecause of this Long and Deadpan Tutorial. I've Now been Sold on Protools. I thought Bitwig was Cool for midi But Audio is a No Go....
ОтветитьHi Bitwig Team. Recently only i jabe started working on Bitwig studio 8.Good experience. Keep working.
ОтветитьBitwig is great but audio editing is a complete garbage.
ОтветитьMy question is that if I create a clip in the sequencer screen and then move it, why when I highlight that clip and then go into the editor does it appear as the entire Audio stem in it's original position? Seems like a bug not a feature. I'm having to literally use protools to edit my clips and drop them back into Bitwig because if this weird workflow breaking editor. Any tips to make it work more like every other audio editor?
ОтветитьI think that you missed one important outlook on the way Bitwig works with Audio: When on the Clip Launcher or Arranger pages, you are dealing with Clips - However, when you enter the Editing pages of an audio clip, you are then dealing with Events. You did mention that but there is one big distinction in that you can use ANY amount of different hits or loops (Events) within the clip (Container). So you could have one clip on the arranger but have 4 or 5 different samples that sits within that 1 clip. You can then use all the expression you want to get some mad results.
Obviously for mixing purposes this feature wouldn't really hold much water but if you want to make some bonkers break edits or vocal chops and keep it neatly within 1 clip, it's a great thing to explore.
BTW, when I say "you" I am aware that you are the creators of this software 😂 but I thought people new Bitwig might find feature interesting. I know I did!
Love to all the Bitwig community ♥🤟🏻✌🎼🗿
The click and hold tool selection feature is excellent!
ОтветитьOh my freaking goodness how the heck no one told me about bitwig before?????? It's a breeze compared to audacity and alikes I've been struggling to edit audio on linux for like 2 years now. Thanks so much for creating such an amazing tool, gonna be checking it out for sure
ОтветитьNow a year into Bitwig and can say I don’t miss any of the Cubase features anymore.
ОтветитьСпасибо большое!😊
ОтветитьUsage of bitwig is so easy compared with DAWs I'm using right now.
ОтветитьThe point inspector! Holy point poo poo! I can't believe I've missed this for so long. Thank you!
Ответитьis there a way to select all the beat markers or onsets and quantize everything with a key command? Its possible in ableton and this is one of the only things keeping from switching over
ОтветитьOn version 4.4.3 the cursor does not turn in a time stretch tool, I have to switch to strech expression to have this behaviour.
ОтветитьFL is in "trouble". This looks verrrry interesting!!
ОтветитьThe beatmarkers for stretch and onsetmarkers dont show up for me...
ОтветитьAm i hearing Venus Theory?
ОтветитьDoes Bitwig 8-Track have that EVENT button? I don't see it on mine.
ОтветитьI have a hard time getting used to this, coming from Cubase I don't understand why you can't scrub or play from selection.
ОтветитьI've been struggling with bitwig audio editing but this video clears it all up. Thanks!
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьSo am I doing something wrong or am I the only one that doesn`t get the pointer to switch to the time stretch mode when hovering at the borders of a clip .I am at audio events and editing the clip. Is there a change been made?I am at 4.3 thnaks in advance
ОтветитьRight click to add effects option on each slice would be kool.
ОтветитьOnce chopped can each section act on a per note basis so effects be aplied to each individual chopped part?.
Ответитьi just don't understand why there are no grid lines on the clip in arrangement.
that with a visual representation of only one vertical maxxed waveform instead of two, only visual, so no gain increase is needed, kind of a toggleble visual "normalize", would enable a quick, precise and enjoyable editing in the arranger.
what i also don't get is why the grid divisions and various settings are hidden in a small pop-up, this way you have to guess whats set currently.
Ableton added a feature to increase the thickness of the gridlines, wonderful feature, makes work so much better.
another thing that drives me crazy is when i try to increase or decrease the length of a clip or note, in arranger or piano roll, the time selection borders interfere, its so annoying.
imo that shouldn't appear on notes or clips, we have a time selection tool for that, or can drag select under the note in the empty space, or the upper and lower part of a clip could split the functions.
if i zoom out in the arranger, clip names vanish into alpha, even if there was enough place to show the entire word. i would even prefer to show whats possible all the time. maybe an option in the settings to turn that blend on and off.
making all tracks vertical height super small is really nice, the thing is we cannot keep them as small and untoggle that on only one track.
exclude selected track or set the behavior per track could be an option.
this would make working on huge projects a breeze.
Great vid thx
ОтветитьIt's awesome!!
ОтветитьWhat a nice toy! But unfortunately not a tool at all!
ОтветитьWhat does formant do? It does not change anything. No matter which value.
ОтветитьDecided that instead of upgrading to Ableton 11 I would try Bitwig instead for a few days... let's just say no more Ableton for me.
ОтветитьNice overview :👍
ОтветитьDoes Bitwig have a quick way to adjust clip gain (similar to Pro Tools clip gain feature)? In Pro Tools this can be adjusted in the arranger view (bottom left corner on any clip).
ОтветитьWhat i miss the most is copy and drag selection (ctrl+drag)
ОтветитьThanks for posting!!
Ответитьit's so helpful Bitwig! Thank You!
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьI always enjoy tips and tricks from the makers of a product. I feel like I get more insight into an application that I might not otherwise.
As a suggestion, when mentioning "I can use a keyboard shortcut to get in and out of the editor panel", it'd be helpful to either mention what that keyboard shortcut is (for those of us watching at work cough and not in front of the software) and/or have the key strokes noted onscreen.
Thanks for such an awesome DAW! <3 Bitwig.
These videos are so helpful, even for someone who's used Bitwig for years!
ОтветитьNice, but why doesn't this feature Bitwig 3.3 (released like 2 weeks ago and in beta 2 months before that!) and its free content stretching, clip gain, pre-fades, improved cross-fades?! Why it overlooks slip editing, doesn't explain difference betwee clip & event, doesn't show difference between clip editing vs. track editing, etc. If it's directed to "Bitwig community and beyond" which is obviously a dig at prospective Ableton converts; why doesn't it showcase how you can edit audio in Clip Launcher instead of having to drag it back & forth to Arranger?! Or doesn't show that you can edit audio simulaneously on multiple tracks, i.e. resize, stretch, fade, slip-edit, etc. already, without having to wait for Live 11?! Where's the mention & comparison of audio stretching algorithms?
Who is this series for, again?
These videos have been really great.
ОтветитьDont forget that you can slide the stretch breakpoint for the beatmarker by hovering on the beatmarker and grabbing it on the top half and slide the audio into the right place.
