I wish I had a way to get a ethernet cable from my modem to my TV.
ОтветитьDidn't work for me
ОтветитьTried wireing it but the fastest i get is from wirless ..I cant see how you find it faster wired .!!!
ОтветитьWorks on my Laptop and greatly increase the speed. But for my me LG Web OS TV it did not respond.
ОтветитьI can’t get my tv to recognize the usb hookup so my tv is is just running on Wi-Fi connection. How can I get that to work
ОтветитьThe router port needs to support the higher Lan speed too otherwise you waste your money with such an adapter.
ОтветитьAnd some folks wonder why I don't BOTHER with WiFi - and never have.
Too Many Issues.
My last 3 connections (3 different ISPs, 2 different counties and PUDs providing the physical interface) were 100 GB Ethernet straight from the "fiber interface box" on the side of the house/apartment. And I COULD have gotten Gigabit had I wanted to.
Most folks don't have that option or comparable, though.
OK my tv is not a smart tv running on wifi. my modem and desktop is in the other room, what would happen if I plug this into my modem and the ethernet into that.
ОтветитьIt didn't work for me.. Why?
Ответить100 MILE CONNECTION,RIGHT
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьHow do I get more speed going thru a Apple Tv box?
Ответитьwhy does the ethernet adapter give a higher speed than just the regular ethernet cable? I always use the ethernet adapter to plug into my laptop because the ethernet port is broken, but never realized that it makes the connection much faster. Thanks for the tip!
ОтветитьHad a older LG TV constantly freezing on Netflix, not anymore, THANKS
ОтветитьWe use our phone to get our internet so could we just bypass the Ethernet adapter and use a USB-c to USB 3.0 cord. That should give us the fastest connection then having the phone go threw a Ethernet adapter to USB 3.0 adapter should it not?
ОтветитьThing to keep in mind is that most people probably won't need this, as most 4K video bandwidth from Internet streaming maxes out at around 25Mbps, which will barely put a dent in the TV's 100Mbps NIC.
Now uncompressed UHD Blu Ray backups from your Plex server (128Mbps usually), that's a different story. You will need this.
Purchased an Amazon basic Ethernet adapter. I plugged it into my Smart FireTV USB port, actual television. When I connect the Ethernet cable to it and go into settings, I’m no longer connected to the internet. What am I doing wrong or does this not work for all TVs??
ОтветитьI was so baffled by this ,and disappointed too... my tv was on wifi so i ran Ethernet to my xbox and the tv...my xbox instantly improved greatly but my tv stayed the same...i was like wth is going on here? Now i know ..thanks so much!
Ответитьi am very disappointed you hve not sent me a reply
ОтветитьSLOW DOWN
ОтветитьHey new here to tv tech stuff , I was wondering I use a Ethernet walk adapter currently because I rent and I don’t want a huge hole in the wall to feed my modem cable, my question is if I buy a Ethernet adapter for the tv or pc would that give me even greater speeds?
ОтветитьHi I am streaming on a android tv via a firestick. Will the solution to increase my speeds work in this case?
ОтветитьIt a shame your pings went from 4 ms to 37 ms is that the speed test server or the apapter?
ОтветитьI am very unhappy that you have not responded to my 2 comments 😢
Ответитьif there wireless adopter?
ОтветитьI just bought the adapter . It has a green light but doesn't connect via ethernet . Doesn't even have ethernet listed on TV now?
Wifi is shut off .
I have gigabit and i get 4 times faster on my TV then with LAN.
ОтветитьI did this and unfortunately i did not get as high results as you did. Guess it might be because I am going through At&t U-verse. mild kinda of a bummer
ОтветитьI sent a comment 2 weeks ago but have not responded yet!
ОтветитьYeah I hooked up my Smart TV the SAME EXACT WAY and I STILL can only pull 95 - 97 mbps TOPS !!
ОтветитьThank u so much, I already have an adapter in my closet since 2021 😂
217Mbps I have now
Great
ОтветитьReally? That’s your amazing fix? Everyone knows that. BUT nobody can plug tv via hardwire. Hard to believe this “fix” has so many views
ОтветитьPlug it in lol no shiznit.
ОтветитьNo speed test ap on my tv. I tried what you suggested did not work.
ОтветитьIts dawn to me to try it once I was sitting alone and it improved my speed from 100 to 246 mbps. But i still feel iam short because my package speed is 450 mbps. Is hdmi to ethernet a better option to get full potential?
ОтветитьIt did not worked on my smart tv 😢
ОтветитьMight be a great idea, but totally impractical for me, as my modem is DOWNSTAIRS and my bedroom, where my TV is, is UPSTAIRS (and it's not workable to move the modem upstairs). So, thanks anyway. :)
Ответить😂
ОтветитьI plugged it in the back of the tv and the tv doesn’t connect to the internet wired??
ОтветитьI have Comcast, can I use this item? If so how do I install it?
ОтветитьDoes the usb to ethernet have to match my router which is 802.11 ax
ОтветитьDoes this usb to lan adapter work with old micromax canvas s 50 Android 4.4 usb 3.0 tv i have a doubt what about drivers Android kernel my tv is rooted too
ОтветитьDoes the ethernet cable need to be connected to your router or connected to a port in the wall (like what you plug a landline in)?
ОтветитьGlad your not selling anything 😂
ОтветитьCheers..i Got an adapter as described plug it into the USB port (3.0)..the speed is still the same as when I was on Wi-Fi. I do somethin wrong?..the numbers weren't terrible.(170dl, 13ul).. I was just expecting better.
ОтветитьFive minutes to say, "Don't use wifi to connect to your network; instead use the ethernet port on the TV."
ОтветитьMy router is on the 2nd floor and our HDTV is below on the 1st floor. I can't run an ethernet cable without making a mess of our walls and a subsequent divorce. The average download speed on the HDTV was ~ 75 with the Spectrum router. I bought an ASUS RT-AX3000 V2 Dual Band (and the price was reasonable!). The speed test showed over 300 MBPS download and 11 MBPS upload.
As the router has 4 antennas, I can adjust each antenna individually to optimize the device's speed. A 32" HDTV in our basement is now receiving ~ 250 MBPS download speed now and it's 2 floors down from the router. This router is also supporting V6, so as the new devices include that in the future, it's ready for it. This is the best router I've ever had.
When the cable from the router is unplugged and plugged into the TV does the wifi still work?
Ответитьi can only watch tv using wi fi as the distance from router to tv would require a 50 ft cord . so this new device is no value for me
