I love Manny Pacquiao. Marquez was always his hardest fight. The fights were so good and close that they had to do it 4 times. Pacquiao was faster than Marquez, had better footwork and I guess more power. I say that because Pacquiao knocked him down more. Anyway. Marquez was a better counter puncher, more patient and smarter than Pacquiao. Pacquiao punches came off of pure rhythm and speed. Once Pacquiao starts bouncing at you. He's setting you up for that 1, 2,3 combo. However in the 4th fight. Both men seem determined to leave no doubt. Marquez especially catching Pacquiao with that fake shot, dipping then catching him with that overhand right. Pacquiao got him back with a knockdown of his own. By the 5th and 6th Pacquiao was thrashing Marquez. Look like he broke his nose but like I said Marquez is smarter than Pacquiao. Kept backing up on purpose so Pacman could lunge in and that's exactly what he did. Then" BOOM!! lights out. If Pacquiao had patient he possibly could've won convincingly. Marquez is hard to beat. He's like a wounded leopard when he's hurt. More dangerous. That's why Pacquiao couldn't do him like his other opponents. Pacquiao always felt the need to take Marquez out when he landed big shots on him but even Floyd couldn't take him out. He just beat him up with quickness, intelligence and defense. That's what separate guys like Pacquiao from Mayweather

You can never be stagnant, predictable and careless with fighters with top notch Boxing IQ and superb counter punching like JMM. Even floyd said he was the smartest fighter he ever crossed. You cannot be undisciplined, complacent and repetitive especially in training camp. After getting robbed in the previous fight, JMM focused more on strength and conditioning and recovery techniques like using the Hyperbaric chamber and Pacquiao felt that the first Knockdown before the KO. JMM was hungrier and he was deadset on not leaving it to the judges win or lose. When it comes to no nonsense discipline, studying and dedication (zero distractions) JMM is one of the best.

Honestly disappointed at Pacquiao for his sloppiness. He was impatiently aggressive. When hes usually swift and calm while his hits were strong. Even let his guard down. Marquez studied his movements and saw the perfect opening. So props to him for winning and congrats to Mexico. But both are still great fighters/boxers and one of the greatest rivalries. Both showed good sportsmanship. 🙌🏼🥊
