DJI Digital FPV System Review - Maximum Range Test (700mw) How Far on 4GLte Parrot Disco?

It is imbalanced weight-wise on the wings. Also, diversity cellular antennas should be in V formation, yes, but at exactly 90 degrees from each other. Your antennas look to be less than 90 degrees apart \/. Do you own a protractor to measure the angle? Your antennas are too close to each other, angle-wise. This means your 4g connection will be weak while banking/rolling. If the antennas were too wide apart, you'd lose 4g when level. If they are 90 degrees apart, as they should be, you'd have 4g in all circumstances. Also, the antennas would be more effective if they were rigid (instead of bending back in the wind).

I know this Video is old but I have a question: what is the cheapest fpv Wing (RTF) I can get. With RTH.? When I say cheap, I mean the complete setup. I have Fatshark and the google from wal mark… ha I want long range with the lest amount of money. I live out in the Country lots of farm animals out there so I need something I can pick up a few miles and then come back home if I get into trouble

That controller looks exactly like the Phantom 3 Pro controller, except for the difference in the housing color. Does anyone know whether I can use the controller of my Phantom 3 Pro with DJI FPV goggles?

It's amazing just how good the Parrot Disco still is. No other fixed wing FPV plane that I know of has this great combination of range (with 4G mod), stabilized video and easy flight and takeoff. The only downside of the Parrot Disco is that it is discontinued and the camera is a bit blurry compared to modern cameras. I fly my Disco every summer and have had about 100 succesful flights so far. I keep 1 brand new Disco in a box as a backup but it seems that's just not necessary :-D

What I also love about the Disco is the autonomous flight option. Just throw your Disco in the air, let it fly for 1.5 hours along waypoints as far out as you like, follow it all the way with the 4G mod and watch it come back and land. And should you ever crash, you can find it back with Glympse. I pray every day for a Parrot Disco MK2 with upgraded camera.

You can go up to 13km with dji googvle v2 and air unit. I do it with my iflight chimera7 using 2 truerc triumph pro on my air unit and 2x 12 turns helical antennas on my google and 2 truerc sniper.

Is the Disco capable of lifting the bigger 17500mah battery you listed as used in the night fury? Stock motor? Upgraded motor? Or is it entirely beyond the ability of the airframe?

This was way cool watching I had no idea that you could set up a drone to fly so far for so long and have the clarity of video that you had. you dont or didnt seem to realize that if you were operating in an area with "normal" cell coverage that you could have just kept going, as opposed to flying the plane into an unforgiving wilderness!............ your blockyness and signal loss had nothing to do with the distance of the plane from YOU, but the distance of the plane from the nearest cell tower.

Wow so basically I can fly my FPV quad with no range issues in terms of the actual signal? My battery would for sure die wayyyyyy before 2 miles.

probably more fun to do fpv to usb digitizer to chuck then send some low frame video via 4g.

I find it strange that dji doesn't provide mounting gear for the two antennas. Like how did they really expect for people to keep them in place if it wasn't for 3d printers? 🤔
