REAL HIP HOP!
thai crap today iant hop hop or rap..
It is plain OUT HATE
Why would they incorporate a classic Haim Saban/Shuki Levy theme song in this rap song?
ОтветитьI remember being in the locker room changing for gym and one side was the White kids and another was the Black kids, it was just friends choosing to be near friends, no hate, and a couple kids were laying down a beat banging on the lockers, another was beat boxing, while another was rapping this song.
I was like , "What in the Sweet Home Alabama Classic Rock world is this? And I still seek other people, Black and White, who remember this time. My childhood experiences of desegregation/integration had this as a soundtrack. And run-dmc.

ОтветитьI was smoking Cali bud an jus felt like listening to this
ОтветитьI'm a zillennial who heard this for the first time at tonight's VMAs. Immediately recognized the Inspector Gadget sample (loved the 1999 Disney movie as a little kid) - and had to listen to the whole track. 🔥
ОтветитьOriginal version with Michelle (Beatles) 🙌🏻
ОтветитьI was in 5th grade and was turning the dial on my parents' sound system to look for a rock station to record songs off of and came across the beginning of this and stopped. Never listened to rap up to that point. Loved it so much it went on that tape I was making with all my hard rock songs.
ОтветитьTurned 52 today and heard this 2x today. The rap gods blessed me!!!!
ОтветитьMy absolute FAVORITE from the era!
ОтветитьOmgOmgOmg !!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьAt school we thought he was singing sex menace and not 6 minutes
ОтветитьMan the big homies from the 80s used to jam to this song. I was a little kid in Los Angeles, and I remember them listening to it.
ОтветитьI love all rap but the old school rap will always be the best ...smell me??? 🤪
ОтветитьMe and my best friend used to work at a P.A.L. on the weekends, and this song is something we would listen to every Saturday. And yes we listend to it on vinyl! And yes, we would usually listen to the song before we watch Saturday afternoon wrestling.
Ответитьnah this is absolutely timeless never fails to get my head bumpin
ОтветитьIf you from NY, you can’t help but feel this in your blood! This past weekend was HARLEM DAY, and even my 16 yo niece was in the streets jamming to this. My absolute favorite anthem!
ОтветитьThis is a oldschool classic love it
ОтветитьAugust 22,2023 and im here for this. Im 47 years old from atlanta i must say hip hop clearly started in new
york
I'm 79 and I remember this like it was yesterday
ОтветитьClassic....that pic though looks like a Dave chappelle character 😂😂
ОтветитьIt never occurred to me until this moment that Humpty Hump probably began his 'life' as a Slick Rick impression Shock G would do at parties.
ОтветитьHad this record as a kid, dunno where it ended up over the years... B-side La-Di-Da-Di i think(?)🤔🙂
ОтветитьJust saw these guys perform last night (8/18/2023) at an arena near my home as a part of the Masters of the Mic tour and they killed it. Still top-notch performers. Slick Rick surprised me in a good way. If you get the chance to see them, GO!!
ОтветитьI’m 23, never heard this song before. This is one of the craziest songs I’ve ever heard. That was amazing
Ответить2023😂
ОтветитьAnyone else watching new jack
Ответитьnothing better than old school hip hop.
