If one seeks to answer the calling they feel to fully renounce everything, & give their will & themselves entirely to the Lord, after much prayer & reflection they should contact the holy place they desire to enter & seek to speak with the abbot or a holy father there. If they so decide to take upon themselves the yoke of Christ they must receive the blessing to enter the arena as a novice & after about 3 yrs they may be deemed worthy to join the brotherhood. Dear vladdrummer, Christ is risen! Forgive me for removing your comment; I wish to explain why I did. What is translated in this video was done by me, & I am not a scholar in theology or Greek. The translation I included for H.E. was "different faiths" not "faces". To my knowledge, Islam acknowledges God as the God of Abraham. To my knowledge Saint Catherine's Katholikon is the oldest active church, where the Divine Liturgy has been celebrated everyday since it was constructed in the sixth century. The living tradition there holds that not one day has passed since without the Divine Services and Mysteries.

The Holy Resurrection (Orthodox) Church (originally built by Constantine the Great) is older built in 330 or so A.D. St. Helena, Constantine's mother, visited the Holy Land in order to build Churches over the sites of Christ's Birth, Passion, Death and Resurrection!

@samuelsixvids I do not have any knowledge of Thomas Merton spending any time at Saint Catherine's Monastery.

Everything except them being the ONe God part I like in this video. The Islamic God is not Christ.
