Which is more rude — talking to someone wearing an AVP or talking to their “persona” on a Zoom call?
ОтветитьQuestion: does the factime work with animoji? I feel like that would be way less horrifying
ОтветитьFor anyone planning to buy it you might want to wait for future versions where most of the issues are sorted out, this is kind of what happened with the apple watch.
ОтветитьVR this decade is great for very niche experiences. As the ergonomics and efficiency get better, it will become a natural part of every day experience. People will fall asleep and wake up in VR. Maybe early next decade.
Ответитьyou only said a lot of stupid hatfull things
ОтветитьI just want a headset with a curved OLED and lenses to make it all work. Full FOV. Seems feasible.
ОтветитьWe should cheer this absolute miracle of engineering. For the first iteration this is simply unreal. The community will only help make this better everyday as they use the device.
ОтветитьI get the same vibes from this I got from Google Glass. Yeah, it's a fun novelty but it's not a polished product. And I don't know if it will ever be. When you're able to fit everything into the frame of regular spectacles this will become a hit. Until then, it's just a prototype for Apple to keep improving usability and then apply that knowledge when the real thing comes up.
ОтветитьI want to buy one next month, but my fear is it messing with my vision and mind. 😅 I’m already dizzy! 😂
ОтветитьSo don’t buy it then is what the verge says.
ОтветитьAfter Deiter left, Nilay stopped reviewing apple products and I really miss his reviews. Glad to see him back and I wish he does reviews more often
ОтветитьThis review 100% convinced me I do not want this product. Then it made me want it more. Then it made me angry that it even exists.
So many emotions.
Brilliant review. Surprising how it didn’t feel like a big spoiler to people who bought it. So balanced and filled with information. Thank you!
Ответитьthe best and most realistic review, yet. Thank you!
Pros & cons 👍
I thought you needed an iPhone to buy this but def not buying it either way
ОтветитьThis is still RAW.
ОтветитьSo its kind of a Quest 3 with additional features and better cameras.
Ответитьthe personas look like those AI memes of photos singing songs
ОтветитьBought one with the intention of flipping it and part of me wanted to keep it but these reviews helped me be at peace with my decision 😌
Ответить"You're in there having experiences all by yourself that nobody else can take part in."
Well, isn't that how life in itself is like?
Why does this dude need 5 camera angles when he's talking about a product?
ОтветитьIs there anything you actually like about the Vision Pro? Is there anything like it, that you keep comparing it to? or you just comparing it to your imagination of what perfect should be? This is a first gen, Its not going to get everything right. Take the Quest its been there for years and does it even come as close as the Vision Pro? Man you complain to much. You mix your points too much. At the end all we hear is negative negative negative.
ОтветитьI'll wait a couple generations, or ten
Ответитьcan you guys please film and export at 30fps and not 24? this video looks choppy
ОтветитьThe Verge: Car Review
Windows:
The power windows are a noticeable upgrade over old crank windows, but part of me worries that if we can roll up the window too fast we’ll be more cut off from the outside world — a world we now see but can’t touch. Crank windows also provided exercise and allowed for the manual precision we’ve come to rely on. There are just some wheels you don’t need to re-invent.
Seat belts:
Seat belts are one of the more controversial aspects of the car. While they give you a better chance to keep living in case of a major accident, they’re uncomfortable and tend to cut into your neck all the time they’re not saving your life. I’ve seen some drivers resort to pulling the chest strap over their heads to avoid the hassle. The plastic/latex material is also way too firm and we expect to see that change in future iterations. Seat belts are one of the best life-saving solutions we’ve seen, but still not perfect.
Air Bags:
In our testing, every air bag deployment was so abrupt that it caused noticeable bruising to the head and arms. These are designed to save lives, but do they have to cause so much pain along the way? These feel like a beta product we wish had gotten more testing before release.
Stereo:
Music is one of the most popular sounds ever, so it’s no surprise it would eventually make its way to cars. The 2-Channel stereo system is something Ford is very proud of, but without great radio content it all feels like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist yet. Assuming music developers find a way to deliver content worthy of car stereos, the volume might drown out friends and family members we used to talk to on the trip. When will we hear about our nephew’s soccer game, or make plans for next Thanksgiving? Music was designed to be a communal experience but in the car it acts as one last barrier to the social interactions we‘ve always had, making driving a lonelier experience. Not to mention concerns about safety if we can’t hear sirens. If you do manage to get a good song playing, the sound is incredibly clear and a big leap forward for out-of-house audio.
In summary, cars are the best method of transportation we’ve used so far, but they still need some work under the hood.
7/10
a product made for nobody
ОтветитьI hope it flops. 3K for a pair of goggles? Jump in a lake!
ОтветитьI’ll buy when it has its iPhone 4 moment
ОтветитьIt's astonishing that you and every other apple marketing partner doesn't talk about gaming, as gaming is what drives VR and Apple has no controllers available for the vision. So what happens when I want to play Alyx or any other vr game. Oh ya. I CAN'T.
Do you know what blows me away about the vision. The lack of Vision by Apple.
Apple is completely disconnected from reality.
Yawn lmao
ОтветитьAmazing review! 💯
ОтветитьI'll buy it just for the attached battery, Apple should sell those standalone
ОтветитьThis is probably the best review of a tech product I've ever seen.
Ответитьive never got sick using VR before, but watching your interview camera swapping from side to front throughout this whole video made me queasy 😛
ОтветитьThis video gave me an existential crisis
Ответитьwhy can't all verge content be like this?
ОтветитьGreat review! Hard pass on this product.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best reviews of any product I have ever seen. Well done.
ОтветитьIncredible review
ОтветитьGreat unbiased review and overview compared to the typical gushing at iJustine.
ОтветитьThe technology here is insane and light years ahead what other mass market is doing. Props for Apple for innovating. That being said, this cutting edge tech is still not enough to bring this future to the present.
ОтветитьLove the realistic review! And not to oooo and aaaa because its a new product!
ОтветитьGreat review. It answered all the questions I didn't know I had, while remaining objective, and bypassing all the Apple charisma. Well done.
Ответить$3500 is a scam, doesn’t matter how good it is
ОтветитьKool Aid...
ОтветитьThanks for the interesting video. 👍
