the episode was fantastic just like the res of the show with fantastic va, sound effect, music and animation, they did gearshift justice in the anime

Firstly i talk about the contervisal cover which was of toru fully visible in her hero costume with tape covering her chest and privates and this cover cause a debate with one side saying "it a fictional character, what the problem" and the other side saying " i do think it wrong depictaing an underage character like that, fictional.or not"

infact it go so bad that horikoshi had to apoligised and he explained why toru cover, you see he was pressed to get the chapter out and hadnt drew the cover so he used a piece of concept art as the cover

before the 2nd user quirk was revealed i had my own theories about the second user quirks like a fusion dance quirk, telportation quirk or a time based quirk and i brefiely thought bakugo was the 2nd ofa user

i was honestly glad the quirk was not revealed to be something like a laser beam or explosion quirk since i thought that it would have been underwhelming in my opinon

fun fact: in the english leaks, it said "gearshift could change the laws that govern reality" but in the official version only says "gearshift can change the laws of pyshics"

i had a theory back when the 2nd user quirk wss first revealed and that is the second user of ofa is an ancestor of knuckleduster from.vigilanties spin off

Both have attack were the hit an object with several hits in rapid sucesssion plus both o'clock and gear shift allow the user speed up and go faster

when the flashback of the 2nd user being chocked by a crying afo happened in the manga, we were speculating about why afo was crying with one theory being the 2nd ofa killed yoichi (1st ofa) so that ofa wouldnt fall into afo hands

Correct about the music remix, it's "Revengers - Plus Ultra".

Beforehand, that version was only used for the mid-season 6 trailer.

Bones continues to impress every week. Massive props to everyone working on this season of MHA. It's both a thrilling episode but also kinda strange to be just watching MHA instead of both reading and watching. I haven't been in that position for several years.

120% was done SO well, bless Kohei Hirota (the animator). Another wonderful episode under the continuous streak of greatness Bones has been delivering this season. I can get wanting it to be more like an homage to All Might's scene, feels like Hori payed homage to the anime with that, so I can get being thrown for a bit of a loop. It was still good, but I do think it should've been a little faster, other than that, really great episode! You Say Run being played again made me so happy, truly a one in a lifetime track. I do agree with your take about the Gear Punches. But I am glad that it wasn’t like Season 6, when Deku hit Shiggy with the 3 consecutive punches. Where we heard them, but didn’t see them.

Been looking forward to this fight for two years and it was done very well. Tbh, I’ve been thinking about what OST they’d use for it, and I was always thinking they’d use either “Last Wielder” or “You Say Run”, so it was very surprising yet a very welcoming to see that they used You say run for this fight. I’ll say tho, I do wish the quintuple smash had the same level of animation as the 120% Detroit smash did tho. And the direction was amazing. It was just so chilling hearing nothing but Deku gasping for breath after stumbling upon the heroes injured bodies and Bakugou’s corpse. Overall this was an amazing episode cooked up nicely by Bones. I’m very impressed with how consistent they’ve been with the animation quality overall this season. Especially after working on a movie. I wonder when Nakamura will probably show up.

We know for a fact that All for One and Shigaraki did not completely merge into a new person. So the question is... which one of them got distracted by Lemillions peach?

One thing I’ll say is that blackchain looked a lot different than I imagined it to (in a good way), I always kinda thought of it as just blackwhip with the shape chain to it but they went beyond with that and it was really cool

The choice of colours is the highlight of this episode for me.

First of all, Gearshift being blue. Well, you should've expected that given when they showed the vestige colours and the colour of Fa Jin back then.

Second, with how the different stages of Gearshift was represented in the background. Red 🔴for 1st Gear, Yellow 🟡for 2nd, Green 🟢for 3rd, Purple 🟣for Top, and Blue 🔵for Overdrive.

Third, with how the GREEN 🟩energy of Full Cowling is blending with the RED 🟥Fa Jin and the BLUE 🟦Gearshift, we get an RGB rainbow effect and the blending into white light.

This episode got me giggling and shit it was actually really well done. Early manga fans have been waiting for centuries lmao

If I’m being honest, Gearshift might be one of my personal favorite quirks. Changing the speed and/or trajectory of a moving object or attack is just a really out-of-the-box concept for something like an attack, and while it would already be extremely useful in a fight or rescue situation, in this case, Shigaraki, it’s also super useful when applied to other quirks here! So it might be one of the best tools for beating and saving Shigaraki!
Also, I’m still super happy that Lemillion was here since things would have definitely gotten more out of hand with One for All. At least, more than they did

reason why that one part wasnt addapted like how you thought is most likely bc he has to flex his arm multiple times to get fa jin so he hit him 4 times which gave him the stored energy and then dashed behind to hit him with it. Although my interpretation was he was hitting him really fast muliple times in those stages based off how the arm in the manga looked but im satisfied. they did better then i hoped for real! lmk what you think @MightyGazelle

I'm pretty sure they did the first Gear Shift punch correctly as Horikoshi intended (the 2nd-3rd-top gear one). Although in the manga it wasn't clear whether he punched once or multiple times, but since after that he went into 120% Overdrive mode, which basically is Fa Jin and Gear Shift activated at the same time, he needed to punch multiple times in that moment to activate Fa Jin. So that punch sequence was done correctly according to how his combo works.

When I first read the manga I actually had two visions of how the 2nd to top gear happened. My first interpretation was that he punches multiple times, the second was what you described it with the speed of a single punch increasing with and the end being like how the Almight vs Nomi did it.

But to the anime's defense, they actually chose a more coherent interpretation with him punching multiple times because thats exactly how he would be able to store energy for Fa jin before using overdrive.

Dude yamashita is actual PEAK as Deku, been saying it since his first smash in s1. That last clash when it pans in on Deku’s eyes, the VOICE ACTING braaa

I’m not sure why you think the way Bones animated Deku’s initial Gearshift doesn’t make sense. He’s shifting gears to punch faster each time so ShigForOne doesn’t have time to be blown out of range
