I've picked up Lina in my funny 2k pubs because she let's me do stuff like this, but I see I don't prioritize the shard enough because I don't spend enough time keeping my fiery soul stacks high enough. Great tips!

Lina is good but she need frontlane, also she hates heroes that jump her. And she hates buying bkb, you can see everytime lina players go for linken eul, but if enemy team is not stupid they will focus her a fuck her up

I’ve been spamming lina in divine pubs for the past month and you can literally end the game within min 20-30 with a decent team. You just need to abuse fog and stay at the backlines during fights unless you can get a guaranteed snipe on their pos1 or 2.

do you have any ideas why she wasnt picked at TI?

It's like clinkz, if you don't have a front liner or tank that can hold up for merely a few seconds, then it can go side way very easily. This isn't picked in TI or popular in ranks because of it. It's easy to pick them off when the meta is all about instant mobility.

Lina is risky at Ti because if you mess up the whole team will die, it's usually low cool-down heroes

Just played ld against lina. You just deny creeps then lina falls off. I was level 8 when she was 6. They brought 1 support to gank mid still couldn't. Instead got their support killed and lost t1. Lina is just a weak hero in this patch. Same thing would happen against other meta mid heros like kunka, voker, puck, primal. The damage looks good only on paper.

I feel like nobody's paying attention to Lina, because she hasn't gotten a buff since the start of 7.34. Primal Beast and Kunkka also exist. They're beyond broken and she just loses those matchups. Don't pick Lina if they're not on your team, or just gone from the pool.

Its aether lens that sets her off imo.

Not ignored at TI teams tried and most lost the game when Lina is weak in mid game

Lina makes me sad because she is pretty much the only hero that can scale spell amp to strong lategame levels. Limiting spell amp items was apparently done to stop people from just oneshotting creep waves with items, yet lina gets to scale her spells just with her tailor-made shard, aghs, and talents. Cool.

I learned Lina in June and have played hundreds of Lina games since. Her damage stats have been broken for half a year

finally someone said that min 15 shard is OP, watchin dotabuff players ignore it and go straight into aghs made me always wonder WHY IGNORE SHARD

I experimented with Lina Mid a few weeks ago. On paper it seems way too good. But I think she do have a huge problem, which is mana management. Her game gets slowed down a lot if you don't get runes or enough sustain. Her rotations are weak without aether lens making her quite committed to just Mid and farming camps. It does take a lot of time to get online while CK, WK and BB are in the game which is hard to deal with. Decent for single target burst but have no escape.

I find more comfort in Kunkka as he provides everything in the game right now. Most versatile hero in terms of item build. Can go silver edge rush to burst squishy heroes or go blademail heart, or the full waterpark.

MMR: 5K+

Not impressed. There’s tons of heroes that can kill hard and fast and burst anyone down. That’s not a “broken” concept. Dota is a team game, it will come down to who groups and positions in fights better. And in a team fight Lina first of all is a single target burst hero like VS it’s not enough. Who cares you killed one guy… and she also has short attack range and no escapes. Ranged heroes need pike and silver edge so if you have to get ags and shard and eth then there’s no time to buy escapes and range and stuff. I’d much rather have a sniper that can 3 shot everyone on the team around that time from a mile away. Or a viper that can burst one and kill the rest. Or a silencer with rev brooch that can setup to silence and then KILL THE WHOLE team, not just one. Lina only wins mid if you try to fight her level 1 if you just wait a moment she is weak and let’s her opponent get all their farm from too much pushing.

Always a fan of magic lina. I still miss the old arcane blink which helps her instant stun enemies
