Actually for india it is not a thing to be proud of for india .we are losing our talent and making others rich rather then making progessing our own country .I just call those traitors who study in india but move out for making other countries rich

Indian people focus on education under the supervision of badass moms not afraid to whoop your ass with the sandals. 2nd Indian people hardly get divorced and Indian women are independent and they don't say that they don't need a MAN. And take care of the household as well.

Well, you get out of life what you put into it. This is living testament to that.

Though I caution against one thing: this rigidity of only STEM. Fine, it's where all the money is but ... there's no such thing as a useless degree. What you do with any knowledge you accummulate to reach a good bar of success, that's also free enterprising, as you so eloquently put it.

But I think the message rings clear: in Indian/Asian cultures there's this attitude of not taking life for granted and having your priorities straight which lead to better, higher outcomes in life.

No point in travelling and settling half way across the globe if you can't make good money and create good life for yourself and your family and moreover the visa policy of US is such that only talented and educated Indians are selected and taken into the country, this explains the success of Indian immigrants in USA. Basically you are only allowing the talented and educated Indians to come into your country - and obviously they are gonna excel in their respective fields

I'm an Indian, and my parents are my heroes. They went above and beyond to give me the best education possible, even though it meant stepping outside of their comfort zone. They were my biggest cheerleaders during my darkest times, and now it's my turn to give back. My only dream is to achieve greatness and make them proud. I know that with their blessings, I can accomplish anything

The one major shortcoming about this video and others that talk about immigrants to the USA is something called selection bias. The asian immigrants profiled here (you could have also looked at Nigerians who also make more than other people in the USA) are the best of their society. Getting into the USA is not easy and doing so via the education pathway shows an incredible intellect. Should we be surprised that those people have a higher percentage of Bachelors, graduate degrees and high paying jobs? When you look at the country of India itself the numbers are waaaay different. For example, while India has a high number of college grads, it also has a ridiculously low literacy rate. But no one cares to talk about those illiterate Indians who are doing all the hard work in India’s polluted cities. Globally we just love to talk about the rich and successful while doing little to help more people live better lives

Those income stats are a little skewed, US requires higher education to generally enter the US so ofc they’ll do better than an American HS graduate that joined the military instead.

Indians are awesome people , I initially planned to retire at 62, working part-time while saving money. But high price increases have disrupted my plan. I wonder if those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than my current situation. The declining stock market has lowered my income, and I'm worried that my reduced contributions will leave me with insufficient retirement savings.

This makes me remember how back in the early 90s in Kolkata, India, my mother took me to swimming classes 5 days a week, and tuition classes 3 days a week for years when I was a child. And how my father bought me second hand books and took me to science shows and quizzes at a time when we were a very, very typical middle class (by Indian standards) family. They knew I wasn't particularly good at any of these things, but could see that I enjoyed them.

Not being good at something is no reason to stop doing it, especially if you love it.

They could not provide me with luxuries, but made sure I would never ever think that we didn't have enough.
I honestly grew up thinking that we are above average on the socio-economic spectrum.

Its only much later that I understood the hardships they endured to ensure that I went to an English medium school, and learned about the world, which has made me what I am today.

Now, 8 years after college, me and my wife have a comfortable life in Delhi. I earn nearly double of what my father did when he retired after 40 years of service. But every time I take an uber, I remember the long, tiring rides on rickety public busses that my mother endured everyday only so I could learn swimming. Every time I order food online, I remember how my father brought home food packets he received from the office, uneaten so that I may have a piece of cake or a patties.

We had so little, but they gave me so much.❤️

What they won't tell you is that India has a trade agreement with the US. Publicly traded corporations are routinely giving American jobs to h1b visa holders from India. Particularly in IT. Microsoft's CEO, google's CEO's were selected because they help in outsourcing jobs to India. This allows Indians to earn higher wages and in return buy homes in better school districts which average Americans are no longer able to afford because their jobs were given to Indians. This is a domino effect taking place. American jobs are being given to foreigners particulary Indians because of their ethnicity and links to India and nothing else.

Have you done a show comparing Indians (immigrants from India) to American negroes? Your description of Indians is exactly what I've seen, and pretty close to the same as white Southerners. I've never seen or heard, publicly or privately, any discrimination directed at Indians. Why, in your opinion, is the negro constantly portrayed as victimized, while Indians are not? The negroes are now wanting reparations from, I suppose, the very negroes who captured them and sold them into slavery - and it's an impossible task to trace the descendants of those sellers.

Now some people from India , my country really enjoying this thing .... But I just want to inform them an another aspect work in America for sometime.... It is also cruel reality that best brains of our country actually goes to America, (even today 60% to 70% people from major iit passout s,) that's why they become so successful.... We have to think that why we are not able to use that brain why they do not want to live in their motherland... That should be our consciousness as Indians..... We cannot be a talent supply machinary to America and western countries

This discussion is incomplete without an understanding of how Indians see their children as a unit of labour rather than an actual human. Most indian parents see rhwje child as a form of social security income rather than as an actual mammal who needs nurturing and love. Indians are not great at empathy or kindness, they are in general ruthless. How much money fame or power one achieves are not the real markers of success if there is child abuse ans child slavery taking place. ✌🏽
