I spent a lot of time playing Super Mario Kart as a child. And I think a lot of other people did too! I hope this video brings back some warm, nostalgic memories. If you enjoyed this documentary or learned something new, please give it a like or a share!
ОтветитьMy brother would make me beat him in MarioKart to play Mortal combat because he didn't like fighting games. To this day he is the ONLY person who can beat me on MK even as adults.
ОтветитьI still remember my best friend and I beating the Special Cup on 100CC.
Ответитьwestern "realism first" devs, need to watch this
ОтветитьFor as much flak Super Mario Kart gets from the Mario Kart community at large, I’d be all up for a remake of it similar to the SMRPG remake.

ОтветитьMan….. Such quality content, the B-roll is like A-roll!
ОтветитьI don't know all the love for F-Zero. It's uninspired repeditive shit.
ОтветитьNintendo is as American as apple pie and as a proud American I thank Nintendo for all he great memories and the ones to come. Your truly the best
ОтветитьThe amount of solid, timeless games on the SFC/SNES is insane, and the amount of joy this team at Nintendo brought to generations of gamers, (no matter how casual,) is incredible. What a time
ОтветитьI remember getting SMK and MK64 for Christmas. Different years of course, but what wonderful Christmases they were. My Dad didn't game much, but he would play MK64 with me. I still remember the first time we played and he chose Toad and said "I'm gonna be the guy with the helmet." I don't know why but it cracked me up then and still cracks me up now lol.
Put a lot of time into both of those games and when MKDD came out for GC I actually won a tournament at Game Crazy never having played MKDD before and won a free copy of it. What made it sweeter was my last opponent was some cocky 10 year old who was boasting he already had the game and was gonna beat me, but he didn't know how to drift very well so he got smoked lol.
I need a rematch! I never knew about the feather and shortcuts or knowing how to drift 😮 but the thought, the statistics and creativity that went into Nintendo games shows how Nintendo is a lane of their own.
ОтветитьAh, the memories of me and neighborhood friends playing this awesome game. I have tears listening to the end credit music of this video. Thank you to everyone involved!
ОтветитьThank you❤
ОтветитьAn employee left work to buy the game he worked on! That's a true gamer right there! This was honestly far more fascinating than I expected.
ОтветитьToad was my man
Ответитьwow man, the American super Nintendo was really ugly, I wish it was the same as the Japanese one 😢
ОтветитьI can remember playing this with my brothers and sisters. The nostalgia 😭 such happy memories ❤
ОтветитьWhat blows my cog functions is that the kart doesnt actually move, tbe screen does.
ОтветитьMarioKart - All day saturday as a 15 year old with the snes version in the early 90s and school mates, college sessions with beers with the n64, double dash and the DS after working night shifts in my late 20s then countless hours with my eldest kids when they were young on the wii and later wii u version and more recently with all the kids together on the switch.. some great memorable times.
ОтветитьWhen will there be a Zeldavideo?
ОтветитьDo the story of Super Mario 64!!!
ОтветитьRight?! I’m 38 and I remember it also. The nostalgia 😅I miss the old days, when a kid could just be a kid. No cell phones, no internet, no social media. Just calling your friends house to see if they could hang out. Playing outside and if not playing the NES, SNES Sega Genesis and then the PlayStation and N64
ОтветитьWhat an excellent documentary about Mario Kart!!
ОтветитьThank you for making these! I really enjoy them.
ОтветитьI wish I could play it right now.
Ответитьwhy does he say it like "famycom"? its FAMICOM
ОтветитьWow! What great memories Nintendo has brought me since I was a kid. My mom was the real MVP though, she bought me the first Nintendo, Super NES, N64 and Gamecube within 3-4 months of launch. I didn't care about the PS, XBox or Sega because I had Nintendo! Aaaaaaahhhh, how I miss my childhood.
ОтветитьBattle mode was absolutely hilarious back then with my older sis, and the losing music to rub it in 😂
ОтветитьThis was VERY well done. Brought back awesome memories. Thanks
ОтветитьTop🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
ОтветитьI laughed my ass off when you said that they built a scale model of a kart, but one of the programmers crashed it immediately.
ОтветитьMe and my bro used to play the shit out of this. Some of the best memories on SNES.
ОтветитьFun Fact. Sim city is not a flight sim. It is a flight GAME, made toi LOOK LIKE a flight sim.
ОтветитьI remember this coming out. I was an early teen and loved playing this at my buddies house. He had an SNES while I was still on the original NES. Good times with friends, ah yea.
ОтветитьAt the time, I didn't think graphics could get any better
ОтветитьI was today years old when I learned that the more coins, the faster your speed on Mario Kart
ОтветитьI was 9 years old and I have so many memories playing this game 😊
ОтветитьMore like the gaming DIStorian.
ОтветитьThis is the third time I'm going to watch this. I love this.
ОтветитьThere wasn't many things you could do at 10 years old that is much funner than playing battle mode on Mario Kart with your older brother. We used battle mode to settle everything, who was doing the dishes, who was taking out the trash, it was great. The races were fun but the battle mode was something different that made the game the best.
ОтветитьYour videos are some of the best on here. Please don't stop what you do if you still enjoy making these. I do prefer the longer videos of yours over the shorter ones. I feel like 20-40 minutes between that is a good sweet spot imo though that does also come down to what the video is about so some might be much shorter or longer. Either way the way you present everything is top notch
ОтветитьWatching this just makes me wish they'd make a new full F-Zero soon. Hopefully F-Zero 99 is a sign that a new game is on its way
ОтветитьI still have my copy of Mario Kart from when I was a kid. I can't even come close as an adult to beating my time trials now.
ОтветитьThis episode was like drinking kool aid and eating a grilled cheese sandwich. I loved hearing about the progress the team went through. I can't imagine what type of game it would have been without all of these details. Can you imagine the game without battle mode?? They must have had so much fun the first time they went kart racing as a team.
ОтветитьI love how everyone tries to act like they and only they and their "friends"😅😅 who had this awesome core memory of Mario Kart that nobody else had 😂
Hahaha haters!!
The coin item is still true to this day in mario kart 8 deluxe
ОтветитьIt is a great game me and my brothers played it to death back in the early 90s, Mario Kart 64 is still my favourite out of all of them though, anyone can pick up a controller and just play this game, i introduced my 6 year old daughter to MK64 the other day, now thats all she talks about when are we playing mario kart daddy lol, battle mode is so damn fun.
ОтветитьMy step-dad and I bonded with this game! He atill treated my mom like crap and was abusive when he was drunk. But this game brings back good memories from back then.
