Referring to Lagaan, he says, 'it made 'us' feel....' Who is the 'us' he is referring to?? That is the whole point about Lagaan and Bluestar.

Not a genuine review. Not surprising about that.

I was anticipating this review... I am a ardent follower of your reviews but somehow everytime there is a film that takes a stand against caste and oppression, your review gets into knot picking.... Soorarai, Jai Bhim and now this... just wondering why? This film was so well written and executed. Also considering its from a first time director, it was really good... The film talks about a very nuancedyet pertinent message about how the sc/st and the so called " middle berth" castes have a common oppressor. It was very powerful. These films needs recognition and appreciation....

If the Directos and Actors have any good intention whatsoever, improve North Chennai people, and you must be one among them living with them in North Chennai. Specifically, when North Chennai people get richer, they move out of North Chennai and make South Chennai as their home and put their Children in CBSE schools. They forget that they lived at North Chennai in first place. You can criticize by saying "Ranga nool theridhu paar daa", that is not going to help the downtrodden and ostracized community of North Chennai. Focus on resolving issues, rather than rhetoric. Most of "Nool people" have migrated to other states or migrated to US, UK. Therefore criticizing them is neither going to benefit you nor going to hurt them. One must understand that Political parties, Cinema Directors, Actors know how to "use and throw people" by giving rhetoric speeches without ZERO intention at heart and any substance. It is up to you to fall into the trap or uplift your family by focussing on Education.

Though I am a fan of BR, this review had an UC gaze which doesn't do justice to the film.

While I respect diverse opinions on movies, it's disheartening to see a review that overlooks the impactful message about the rights of the oppressed ( both sc and bc) individuals in the movie. The director, cast, and crew deserve credit for addressing such important social issues through their work. Additionally, it's worth noting that the movie is set in the 90s, yet the portrayal of the persistent challenges faced by the oppressed individuals in the cricket arena resonates with the present reality. This adds a layer of timelessness to the narrative, emphasizing that the issues addressed are sadly still relevant today.
