Finally, you're THE guy that puts it all together. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьOutstanding lesson! absolutely Outstanding! I already used this, but I havent seen anyone else point out paying attention to the E and A string. you are an awesome teacher. keep going!
ОтветитьThank you. Love the way you get concepts across. You remove the 'cobwebs' and help 'declutter' many years of learning on you tube.
ОтветитьSo much to absorb, but WOW, when all the pieces come together ... 🤯 Mind blown !!! Blue, you have such a relaxed and friendly style of teaching. I'm loving it.
Ответитьthank you for this lesson!
ОтветитьMemorize this and you will be a lead guitarist. Maybe not Eric Clapton, but on the way.
Ответитьanother great video. I’m just having trouble ciunting when to stop to a root
ОтветитьMan! Where have you been! Only one to explain all this!!
ОтветитьI am so glad I found you!!!!
ОтветитьNailed a lesson again. I’ve got lots of bits of this that I practice, and link some of it up, but this completely mapped it out lucidly and simply. Thank you so much
Ответитьgood connections.
ОтветитьThe root is the nut, think of it as a virtual capo
ОтветитьYou have an amazing way of explaining and connecting things. Learned a ton from a half dozen videos. My only critique as a student would be when you use your terms like "funny b-string shape" remember to call it box 4 in case that is the way others learned it. Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
ОтветитьThanks for this big idea..I am always getting lostbut you give me the idea now to keep my eyes on the notes on the e string because those four notes is so distant from the others, when you go on those four notes you would get lose quite easily, wondering which pentatonic you are in....THANKS
ОтветитьEven when you play from the A string - you are still playing the easy or Symmetrical shape - except you shift for the B string
ОтветитьThis is excellent.
ОтветитьMay I just say that you are a fantastic teacher. I'm not a beginner really but neither am I an intermediate player. I was finding it impossible to navigate the fretboard. Have watched some of your lessons on this and am starting to understand a little better. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьWow so visual and mind freeing, thx as always for this valuable lessons you make 🤩
ОтветитьBester Mann! Thanks from Germany
Ответитьi,ll add it to my strat - egy thanks
Ответитьyour doggy is loving this lesson, what,s his name?
Ответить🎉 this one’s fire!
ОтветитьI got clearly ur DEMO!
ОтветитьI love this guy’s teaching style
ОтветитьI know the 5 pentatonic shapes and I love how you explain them in this video. Your diagrams make the concepts very clear. This video gives me confidence to start soloing and have some fun. Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found you online. Craig Ewinger
ОтветитьDefinitely one of the best guitar teachers on you tube. Most guitar teachers do the same thing as everyone else. You come at it from a different angle. I don’t do this very often but I’m going to subscribe to your Patreon. Oh. Hello from Chilliwack.
ОтветитьI have seen millions of YT videos but this lesson really stands out. I thought I knew the best YT teachers until now… I have subscribed to your Patreon after watching some more videos. There is so much to learn. Congrats for your style , your approach, the visuals, the music, etc… excellent job.
ОтветитьGood lord man. I’ve spent all this time (decades) noodling around stuck in easy shape and extended shape because I was afraid I’d get lost. This was a eureka moment. Thanks! Subscribed.
ОтветитьDitto to what I said one year ago!
ОтветитьOh man! i put together charts a few years ago when i started teaching myself, this affirms a lot of what i thought and just helped me click SO much together. Don't know how long i've had this video in the 'watch later', but man am i happy to be watching it now. Thank you so much
ОтветитьI started understanding a lot of things, which seemed abstract to me for quite a while, after watching your videos, so you started unlocking for me the whole chain of unconnected things which I was not able to connect myself
ОтветитьPerfect
ОтветитьMost important thing: You gotta put the work in and give it time. Build a rock solid foundation with one shape and then venture out from there. And there is still more to discover to lay down a good solo: phrasing, playing to a chord progression, double stops, bends, slides, blue notes, licks, combining rhythm with licks, etc. I'd say 100-200 hours of concentrated practice over six to twelve months should get you quite far. But you'll still have to put in the work!
ОтветитьThank you for the excellent explanation@
ОтветитьI've been playing guitar since I was 12, just metal stuff mostly. I'm almost 50 now. About 10 years ago I memorized the pentatonic up and down the fret board but never really did much with it. Then I started up about a year ago and though it seemed like I didn't do much it payed off. I had established a lot of techniques over the years and was very good at chords and strumming rhythm. I find your explanations almost validating because as I start to get more involved I'm finding a lot of what your saying is how I'm starting to figure things out. I think you touch on how the brain prefers to figure things out like this. This is early intermediate stuff that is hard to find. It's either guys making it way too simple like learn everything with 3 easy licks or too mind bending.
ОтветитьKeep up the amazing work Blu
ОтветитьAt 63, I have new guitar revelations now that I found this channel. Keep up the great (lessons) work. 😃
ОтветитьFantastic video. So simple. Thanks! Just found your channel a few days ago and I'm so glad I did.
Ответитьgotta tell you, I am just getting back to the guitar and was hoping to find someone who just makes it plain easy to understand that fretboard specifically for minor and major pentatonic scales, intelligently using visualization as a technique. I just found it. Well done, I will be viewing your future vids
ОтветитьWow this is so great. Thanks
ОтветитьHas anyone seen the paid in full receipt ?
ОтветитьNice theres the little house. Blues. Looking like John Mayer scale. The you add the blue notes. Nice lesson
ОтветитьFretboard is easy to remember... there's 4 boxes of a-g just remember where the 4 boxes are and you'll never forget the notes on the board
ОтветитьThere are things that you may know but when someone explain it to you in so smart way, you appreciate some nuances and perspective that you might missed before. Thanks for your work on this!
ОтветитьSo brillant, best video in the world on that topic. Moreover, your English is so crystal clear for foreign viewers... cheers from France
