After watching the Rizzotti whitewash excuses of leaving Catalan off the Olympic team I have no interest in watching the WNBA women's Olympic team. Apparently, it's not only WNBA players that are jealous of Caitlin, but it's also the WNBA itself. Caitlin wasn't only left off the Olympic roster but it's also not protecting her from the bullying of Angel Reese and others around the league.

I coached girls athletics in Texas years ago. I was one of the few coaches that brought girls track to Texas when the UIL would not sponsor them. The WNBA has given a black-eye, pun intended, to their professional sport,, that none other professional sports organization has even come close to doing. Years from now the WNBA will be talked about and referred to in very unkind words. Not choosing her for the Olympic Team just adds fuel to the fodder. The Olympics have always had tryouts. If you as a team or an individual could not perform at a set standard and in a performance status, you did not make the team. No person ever made any kind of Olympic team because their skin was the right color, they were a good person and they used to be really good. The stigma attached to this years Women's Olympic Team will be a disgrace for all ages.

Brittany Griner is a "Major Joke" if she goes to the Olympics, as she seems to "HATE" the USA, often in the past has NOT stand for the Playing of the National Anthem! Will she be "Hiding" in the Women's Locker Room when the USA National Anthem is being Played?

I played small time hockey as a kid, just 8 or 9 teams in a couple of counties in Indiana, and I'll tell you that ANYTIME someone stepped out of line, nobody lost their mind over it. BUT, I NEVER forgot an unsportsmanlike moment, and when correction time came, the hits were clean, but brutal. Don't think for a minute that Caitlin doesn't recall ALL of that crap that comes her way THAT IS NOT NOT NOT a basketball play, and IS just sub-human stupidity. I, personally, can't WAIT for kidney Carthole to get her Karma Bash from the world. I try to be above those things, but that attack, and make NO mistake, it WAS an attack, should have had her suspended for about half the season, to allow a relatively brainless child to contemplate her infantile response to her (yes) betters . . . . . .

Austin Rivers was a 1st round - 10th draft pick out of Duke. This means he was eligible to participate in 4 separate Olympic basketball events. He played in none of these Olympic events starting in 2012 the year he was drafted. This is true for Caitlin.

In Olympic men's basketball, only on player has won 4 Gold Medals. He is Anthony Melo and he also won 1 Bronze Medal. It appears men professional basketball players might have a distaste to play in Olympics and stop competing for medals after just 1 to 2 appearance in the Olympics.

American women do not appear to have the same standards. Diana Taurasi, for example, has competed and won Gold Medals in 5 Olympic games with the upcoming games in 2024. If she wins this year, she will have 6 medals! ....The difference might be the men earn Big Bucks during their regular season in the NBA. Women on the other hand, don't make big bucks playing BB in the states, so they may find they aren't going to make huge dollars in the US. Consequently, they might decide to squeeze as much as they can playing in the WNBA and building their name recognition from the Olympics, World Championships (Diana has won 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal in these competitions).

Regardless, it would be easy to say the Men players step aside to allow younger players to develop their skills in the games they love. The women? Not so much it seems. I didn't check other Olympic sports such as soccer, softball, golf and tennis. etc. But as Badly as the vets have been treating CC, I get the feeling the ladies don't always play nicely???
