Planet coaster lets you make a park and then you can pick a person and follow their camera, But I've been waiting for a game were you can amke your own park/city/anythin really, and then YOu can walk around what youve made!

Ark survival evolved is missing, imo should be #1. when you spend the time to breed dinos and get mutations and when you tame rarer stuff, its something unique.

I've felt the most ownership while playing Scrap Mechanic Survival, you must build your base, your vehicles, farm, get resources and survive the robot raids. Also Rust and your base building it's an interesting ownership too.

At first I didn’t like the Starfield ship builder but 200+ hours into the game, my favorite thing is my ship. I don’t build outposts at all, I just use my ship as my base.

I've been wondering recently, but are there games that lets you design and build medieval castles? Surprisingly, I can't think of any at all ...

7 Days To Die really gives me that feeling. But the zombies can take your hard earned loot if you dont build your base well enough. It's wise to separate your horde base from your main base

my first experience owing something in a game was Runescape with all the gear and stuff and bank, then WoW, and then Gta Online was just a wild ride. almost forgot Valhiem is awesome for i like building my own stuff

No... No Man's Sky ?????????? Starfield + Subnautica. Ok, You can not build space ship like in Starfield but it is same for Subnautica.

Medieval dynasty really belongs on this list, it’s a first person “city” builder (more like large village) but still and AMAZING game that deserves a lot more hype then it has. It’s on Xbox idk about any other platforms other than pc but it’s a must play especially if your into Skyrim like games.

I think Assassins Black Flag IV should also be mention since you mention Mad Max

Madmax is a super fun game i used to play it like 3 or 4 times over and over again and it didn't bored me

I hate Falcon, my g is voice is so obnoxious and his content is truly unoriginal.

when I landed on the base in MGS5 on my birtday it blew my mind when everybody came out and sang happy birthday... loved that game

On a side note - I wish less of the samples given were about towns/kingdoms/bases. I hoped for more things like Mad Max. Any game where you own and need to take care of your gun or something?

My time at Portia is another game that feels like you own a lot. Rimworld is king, you can own people

I'm partial to Fallout 4 and Conan Exiles myself.

Honestly for me its my home in fallout 76 i build my home under the new river Gorge bridge a real house i decorated over time with stuff ive gotten Honestly I feel as if I spend Far too much time there. I've seen this home in my dreams. Then again when you put 700 hours into one singular build. My home hasnt moved since 2019

Animal crossing. Your house and then the customizable town. You pour and perfection into into it. Just the time alone slowly over the course of days and weeks unlocking and customizing to make it truly yours.

Stardew has a ceiling were it gets tedious and boring, they could have kept going with the game and allowed coop play between different platforms and not just an invite only multiplayer but a jump in jump out, but have it so whatever’s in your house when you leave is what you keep

ARK, you gather it, tame it, unlock it and keep (Hoard it all), Starfield is my jam few tweaks and you can live in the game, prob for the foreseeable future and Bannerlord.

If a part 2 is ever being made I'd definitely recommend Graveyard Keeper.

Never played metal gear solid.. with that said, that mechanic of strapping dead people onto balloons to send them to your base to work for you is just… just a ridiculously odd idea to even have, let alone the fact that made it all the way down the line into finished product.. that is hilarious, and I just do not understand

Satisfactory seems like a great game, a true dream of mine as I grew up playing those bird eye building games, and a true dream and great idea.. but the hard part would be the execution.. would be hard to balance gameplay
