The jakks sonic stuff is really good though as much articulation as the jazzwears but sonics design atleast modern sonic can suffer a bit from including so much

All they need is elbow joints tbh

Bought this my son the legs are so loose he can barely stand

It’s a good figure, but mine has loose knee joints and since the head is so heavy it can’t stand up

First movie was unexpectedly great. Can't wait for the second. I plan on picking up STHH2 Sonic/Knuckles/Tails. They're nicely priced and decent looking figures.

Definitely looks good! I still like the Nendo, but also the Ultimate Sonic, and the newer version of that same idea from I think Jakks looks good.

Awesome review man! I own the first release articulated Sonic figure Jakks did and while some areas could be better, (ELBOW ARTICULATION!) it’s still a great figure.

Personally, I don’t mind the hip joints style on Sonic figures. I think if they went with trying to make a hip joint style like Marvel legends for example, it could potentially cut up the oval shape on his main body and would look ugly on such a small figure. Maybe not but I’d imagine Jakks went with a “better safe than sorry” route with the hip joints.

Also, a point of articulation you missed pointing out is the pegs on the knee joints that connects to the bottom of the upper legs, giving a thigh swivel. I think adding that articulation makes the hip joints easier to accept.

I had a real fun time with the first sonic movie and the second is looking even more fun. I really like the look of the new deluxe 6 inch one but it's just too big for the smash display.

The snowboard actually isnt for the movie they made a separate line for sonic movie stuff the snowboard this sonic comes with is for the sonic adventure game

From what I heard, once their done with the more well known characters, they’ll make toys for some more obscure characters.

That is a good looking figure. Figure scale is important. This would fit in fine with most Smash figures.
I prefer the classic Sonic over the Adventure Sonic. Jakks is producing nice figures on a fair budget.
The first Sonic was the last film I saw in theaters. It was not perfect but I liked it. Sonic 2 maybe the next film I see in theaters. I will have to wait and see.

I wish they would some of the Archie comic characters like scourge

Wow I just started looking into Jakks Pacific to get Omega and Rouge to add with my old Shadow figure. For the price and simplicity this toyline looks really good.

I love these figures but I wish they were easier to find around me. Getting Rouge is going to be a nightmare.

Potentially worth noting, for some reason, Jakks has a slightly different version of this Sonic with a different face sculpt, and the inverse hand sculpts of this one. That version’s hands have more clearance for the ball peg, giving the hand slightly better range of movement.

My favorite version of this sonic is the anniversary repaint that looks like he has jaundice. All three of the mains. Jaunic, jauckles, and jails. They all look incredibly ill

This line of figures has gotten tons better since they started. Adding characters that really haven't had figures before (like E-123 Omega and Rouge the Bat, and adding fan favorite like Super Sonic and Super Shadow.) It's certainly a fun line to collect.

Jakks is also putting out figures of the designs from the Sonic 2 movie and I'm really looking forward to getting those ones.

The best figure would really be the classic sonic tomy collector 5.5 articulated figure, it costs around 30, its basically an sh figuarts with a stand, a base, different hands, mouths and eye pieces, the articulation isn't the best but it's definitely enough
