- In 2016, Hong Un Jong (PRK) submitted the Triple Twisting Yurchenko at the Olympics. She went for it in the final but fell, therefore she was not credited with the skill. The FIG gave it a 6.8 back then. In the 2017-21 Code, it would be a 6.2. But since no one has successfully performed it in competition, the vault has not been officially integrated into the Code.
- Simone Biles is currently training a Yurchenko Double Pike, so I have a feeling this video will not age well 😅

I wonder if a female gymnast has ever done the Dragulescu vault? (Double tuck with half twist - performed by male gymnasts).

It's so stupid to see this stuff downgraded. Yes, I get it's for safety but what you're doing is taking incentive away for people to reach their full talent. For people to get better and be greater, and push the limits of what we can do as humams. If someone tries it and injures them self then so be it. Yes it's sad but nothing in life is easy and all great feats come with the risk.

They really need to stop downgrading for “safety”

Question: Why would a gymnast do a BHS + turn onto the vault instead of just doing a fwd handspring? Does the BHS give more power than a front handspring?

What have I learned from this video? Those in charge of difficulty rating gave no clue what they’re doing. Picking numbers out of thin air it seems.

Downgrade Produkova to 6.4 means that FIG does not encourage women athletes to try this. Although it is difficult, it is high likely to cause injury.

It’s crazy how the produnova vault is the hardest in women’s gymnastics and there has been many male gymnasts that stuck it at a competition.

Except for the Produnova I can't tell any of these apart😵😵😵 Not my favourite event. It's superimpressive but I just can't really see enough of it to appreciate it. Thanks for attempting to enlighten me, the fault is surely mine

The Produnova & The Biles!!

The graphics and editing on these videos is really good! I like that the name plates, or different slides introducing each skill, I guess, have a theme. Feels like I'm watching a TV show

You can’t forget that Dipa Karmakar did the Produnova at Rio 2016! That deserves special mention.
After that though, sadly she injured her knees and was thus unable to participate in Tokyo 2021. She came fourth last time and I was sure she would have won a medal this time …

All these are cool, but my favorite is still Maroney's Amanar. The single most beautiful vault ever performed by a woman (or even a man).

I hate the Prudonova...it's an ugly vault with a lame running start and cowboyed legs. If a Russian can't make it look good, no one else should try.

It's incredible that Produnova could land a Produnova on that old vault.
