With the bunnies being outside, do you have any issues with mites and fleas?

Great video -- thanks for sharing! The idea for the hardware cloth skirt facing inwards and staked is very good, and may finally give me a solution for a portable rabbit run that actually works! To say thanks I'd like to offer a good way to catch a rabbit which has some room to dodge you. An old bath towel or blanket held out in front of you as a wide barrier works very well to corner the rabbit, and can be thrown on the rabbit without injury as if it were a net. Most rabbits freeze when this happens, giving you time to find exactly where the rabbit is under the towel and use it to sort of bind him up as if you were swaddling a human baby. I find that rabbits calm right down when swaddled, and not only the swaddling material but also the added calm greatly reduces my chances of being scratched by a skittish rabbit. Thanks again for sharing this idea of yours!

I like the idea of a small portable light weight fence to move around where I can better control the grazing area. I need a better way to control digouts besides putting wire down covering the graze area.

I’ve been considering doing something similar. Do you think 3’ tall 1x2 fence would keep grow outs in? I’m thinking just make something like 20’ lengths and moving them with rebar stakes, similar to an electric net fence.

We use a pool ladder to get in and out over fences!!!! We got ours for free! maybe a good option for you! :)

It's very likeminded people! We tractor our rabbits in a similar manner! I know you posted this over 6 months ago but if you still want to try the door design I think you can pull the pins out of the bottom, we just use 2 ft of chicken wire along the bottom of ours and we move it ever day so having the staples would be inconvenient, but the rabbits rarely escape! We've had maybe 4 times of 2 or 3 out of 20+ rabbits in the colony escape all year! Not sure if that would work for you but you could try it!? I don't have a video that best describes my design like you do, but I plan to with my next video! Lol I'm new so I don't have much out yet! Anyways I really like how you talk to your rabbits! Reminds me of me!😁

We also have a rabbit colony with the mash coming out about a foot so they can’t dig under the fence but it’s almost impossible to get the poop out of that fencing how have you found it

Need to find a pool ladder to help cross the fence could probably get one for little to nothing and they can't climb it and it's safer for you to cross the fence

We have a 50x70 run split in 2, works pretty well. Going on 7 months. Occasionally the babies will slip through but they never wander far.

We did have 2 escape long enough to out grow being able to get back in, but they still hang out on out property, so it's only a matter of time before we catch them!
