What’s really cool about shadow in this movie is that he doesn’t really need a chaos emerald to teleport he just uses his chaos energy instead. Which i find that highly impressive and really cool!

his memories with Maria have been replaying in his head for 50 years while he literally couldn't do anything, that's depressing

Sonic and Shadow are two sides of coin.Sonic is full of life and has family and friends while Shadow lost everything and is broken and has nothing to live for.
