ОтветитьImagine if your mate turned into a monster and you are not certain if he still has any of his original consciousness left, maybe some trapped in there but no control over his actions. With no idea about how long he could survive without sustenance. Maybe best to put him out of his misery? Na, trap him in an escape pod and fling his ass out into space, where he could potentially be drifting indefinitely, stuck in a nightmare. Or just hope another ship picks him up so he can meet new people.

The devs should have given Isaac a limping animation when in a low health 'danger' state, like the playable characters of Resident Evil games. I can see why they didn't do that though. They wanted to be as faithful and accurate as possible to the gameplay and game mechanics of the original game. Isaac didn't limp or move slower when low health in the original, so makes sense that they didn't add that to the remake. Unlike slight changes to story details, character details, graphics, etc.... Making Isaac walk/run slower when at low health creates actual gameplay changes, which can have significant impact during high tension situations when you're surrounded by necros and need to create some distance fast. Making Isaac move slower when seriously wounded would change the combat dynamic and feeling pretty significantly when compared to the original game.

ОтветитьReminds me of Insomniac's Spider-Man, where they recorded two versions of most of Spidey's dialogue (standard and 'out of breath') so it could play the appropriate version depending on if you're just walking around or you're webslinging or in the middle of a fight.

ОтветитьMy question ever since the Original Dead Space is Where did the Escape Pod Land. Surely it had a Target and not just drift forever despite how Deep into Space they are. Perhaps another City like the one in DS 2 what was it called Titan I think.

This is awesome, but I would have liked Issac to walk differently if he was gravely hurt. Right now, he sounds like he’s in pain, but strolls along no problem lol
ОтветитьI hope more games do this in the future. In Spider-Man PS4 Peter Parker has two takes for each voice line when he talks on the phone, one that sounds strained for when he's swinging, and one that sound more relaxed when he is on the ground.
ОтветитьThey talk too much and take long pauses. In the original DS Isaac was quiet for a reason. And in this scene they actually don't have much time for chit chat. Watch the original scene.

ОтветитьIs not as much as a hidden dialogue. You see, as they were developing the game they implemented a full breath/heart system (dont know the name). Basically Isaac talks, moves and breathes different depending on the stress of the situation and exhaustion. Of you jig for a while he will pant and hear his heartbeat, and if he is at low health he will struggle while moving and speaking. Apparently this translates to some cutscenes aswell

ОтветитьOh boy, I sure am happy they remodeled the characters faces to the voice actors so they could.....STILL HAVE BLOODY AWFUL LIP SYNC WHEN THEY TALK! >.<
Also, yes it's cool they have different lines based on health, but the character model is still acting the same, there is no interesting animation change to show limping or a hurt arm or anything like that, or even a bloody nose ffs.
I didn't know about that because I was never even taken to low health like that and I played in hard🤣 doing new game plus and I'm currently at chapter 5 with no damaged taken.
