As a 10 years old kid, I used to listen to this masterpiece every night back in the 50's, as it was the theme song of a dadio program in Havana's CMBF radio station. The most sublime music I have rvrt headr, together with The Humming Chorus... The genius od Puccini at his best...

Picture and sound are not always in sync, which is a shame. But very nicely played and good sound.

Achingly sad and moving. Not to be played immediately after a bereavement.

A few years back, the Dayton Philharmonic played this for a cellist of theirs that had suddenly passed. It was the most beautiful tribute I could have imagined for her.

The Duke of Savoy was king of Spain for a brief 3 years. He abdicated citing the Spanish people to be ungovernable. He returned to Italy and died in 1890, I found this piece because I live in Amadeo, Philippines, a municipality named in his honor. Life can suck for kings too.

I came to hear this after reading the history of Amadeo l of Spain. Upon his death his friend, Puccini wrote it.

They played this for the late maestro Mariss Janson also.

I’m pretty sure that Puccini used this quartet in the last act of his opera "Manon Lescaut".

I first heard this when driving, it was on the radio. I had to stop the car and just cry.

Bravo! The best interpretation and most musical. I revisit their piece many times.
