How will this compare to the ddj sx2 or rx? I was just about to buy one but I'll wait to try this

traktor? virtual dj (ugh!)? why in the hell would you buy a serato branded product and ask about other software? yeah. we need another damn controller like we need an extra butt hole. these companies roll out all this stuff and in a couple years it will be something else. also after they are done with it, they wont support it for the people that still have it.

VMS4.1 works as a standlone mixer and any other software. just have to enable it by holding cue 4 down for 4 seconds and turning it off and back on and doing the same thing which is the real first hybrid, VCI-400 does too if you have the firmware update which is the second

the denon need a firmware so you can turn off those crappy lights around the jog wheels then i might buy 1

nice that denon has bring this to market for me i own the numark nv and this looks like it has the same size screen and to me when looking for a song there is no space to show song artist key and bpm i would have like to see all that on the sreen and a way to change between two computers then i would be 100 % sold on this countroller

Bullshit..!!! 2 years from now these bastards will come out with something else, claiming that the new product is better than the older one.. Anything to get your money. A real DJ doesn't need ALL of that extra shit.. Some effects are useful, but all that crap..

This is cool for the price. The stand alone feature is cool, just in case your laptop goes down and I assume this is more compatible to other DVS systems such as Traktor Pro. However, I'd much rather see them do something with their SC3900 platters. Instead of making another full sized turntable with no controller pads on them, it would've been outa sight if they put their SC3900 platters onto an identical but smaller casing of their VL12 with 8 full sized pads. I'd even go for a full sized VL12 without the tone arm but with HID control. The space where the Tone Arm was I'd put a column of control pads. The reason why control pads are so important is that most mixers don't carry them and instead of buying something for 1700.00, you have the option to get almost anything and still control your cue points.

Does this device support recording my mix to USB? Or do i need a computer or recording device for that?

The bad thing for me is I live in the Caribbean I heard it would be shipping in February I have The Easter Party On The Beach March 24 - 27 and this thing is not even online to order just to pre order and guitar center told me mid march now they are looking in April this is crazy I Have the Numark NV as well but this is the One I want now I need this to be shipped to stores who has orders for People like me I have pre-ordered this machine but the wait time is ridiculos

Never consider Denon for my dijing purposes. Even though it has been around since my beginning days of dijing. But in comparison to some of those Pioneer's controllers, and think this a winner. It has Serato compatibility and stand alone mixer, and the best part, able to spin out of your flashdrive. Another selling point for me, a screen, even though is a little bit smaller, it has enough information to look at. Some of the Pioneer's high price controllers even lacked the screen or it is not Serato compatible. Pioneer doesn't want you to have all these features on one controller. And if they do, the price will be almost unaffordable. I was considering the Pioneer DDJ-1000, but is lacking all some of these features. The price of this unit is also more flexible in comparison to those or any of the Pioneer controllers. Please, feel free to respond to this post. Thank you. DJJD
