Okay, I was wondering if people were interpreting the "good" Astarion here the same as me. I feel like it could either be viewed as his was in ecstasy, or that he was still dealing with his trauma and not really enjoying it. I was leaning more towards feeling like he wasn't really enjoying it an was dissociating. It for sure feels that way. Poor guy has a long way to go. 😢

I feel like Larian did Astarion dirty. There no real good ending for my sweet boy. Either he stays as spawn and spends an eternity hiding in shadows, never feeling sun on his skin. Or becoming a possesive vampire lord which elevates his negative traits rather than good ones...

i've been playing an interesting route with astarion where i've only really interacted with him minimally but have been seeking no real affection but am still advocating for his own freedom and such, and when i got to this scene where i asked the agreement he called me pet and admitted that he was not comfortable with the idea of doing this so soon and how he wasn't ready. i told him i'd never force him and he got got bashful

it honestly makes sense though, if you go the "good" route with Astarion, it's very clear that he does enjoy sex with Tav, whom he cares for. Sharing a partner and sharing himself with strangers, as he was forced to do in the past isn't something he wants deep down. I just took it as him not being into polyamorous relationships and just enjoying everything a relationship has to offer with a partner he truly connected with. Still heartbreaking to see him go through with it but not really enjoying it

This honestly breaks my heart for him. I feel like he would be more upset if he was excluded tho so I don't really think there is a great option regardless.

In my “good” play through, Astarion voices that he is uncomfortable during the dialog and we never went through with it.

Hey... I don't know what you think, it's what I perceived from the end of the two versions, but I feel that Astarion didn't end up enjoying the whole foursome. With what the narrator says that he "is far from there" or "his eyes do not reflect any sign of joy." Even if he meant to, he still lacks the courage to say no. I felt a little bad for him.
