This video is really made insanely good. But it really doenst matter much how good your Mouse is. A bad playe is still gonna suck on a bad mouse. And pros only use low DPI because they are used to it from back in the days because the wanna keep the same sense at all times.

the quation is why people still cap at 1600 dpi ,if the higher dpi the better why not use 16k dpi or more like my g502 can go up to 8k dpi and it not op competitive mouse out there

Super high DPI is the best, but the amount of games (especially older ones) that aren't coded to handle high DPI made me stop using it.

Ive been using 3200 dpi for like 7 years now and Im fine with it. To be honest, when I first set it to that dpi it was forced as I just didn't have space for a mouse due to having a laptop, lol.

if I need as much as 30 centimeters to rotate a character 360 degrees, doesn't it matter what my dpi is? it would be interesting to know

there are so many junk reviews of so many things out there, with people who know nothing useful about the product family theyre reviewing and giving misleading, misinformed, or completely nonsensical conclusions just based off their own uneducated intuition. it bugs me so much. I remember recently shopping for headphones and one guy who kept pointing out a model i was interested in was so super super loud compared to his last set. obvious explanation to anyone who knows anything at all about headphones? He clearly previously had headphones that were high impedance that he didn't have the power to drive with his set up. not only did he not know what any of that meant, he BOUGHT headphones previously and used them and never realised there was a problem. ive seen these kinds of people recommend stuff to friends, i never understand why people can't accept they dont know much about something yet and just say that instead of faking it and linking something that is a terrible option. all this ranting mostly because i need to get it off my chest but also..

THIS is the exact opposite. you clearly have some scientific training, your experiment was set up properly, your data presented correctly (including error bars), your conclusions were reasonable and you understood that 5ms is (most probably) not actually useful but its interesting to see. i learned something about the relationship between dpi and input delay that had not occurred to me, and this video was just such a breath of fresh air. thank you.

I’m suspicious of the DPI findings, does the software that detects the mouse movement not have some hysteresis or deadband that is adding bias to higher DPI?

Some of these high DPI gaming mouses are pure gimmicks appealing to teenagers with ridiculous DPI numbers and RGB.

Good sensor,High Polling rate, high screen HZ,stable fps all you need for gaming.

its never been about the latency claims for me. i just prefer less wireless signals in my house and no oh shit need to charge me mouse.

I switched to high dpi and 1000hz polling rate a while ago. I'm not really a competitive guy, but it feels great.

lower DPI is easier to aim but problematic at space and you need more time to aim target 1200 3600 range is standart

Eh what strikes me about Glorious’s Model O mouse, aside from the fact that it feels a little bad and cheap (speaking from a friend’s experience) and the software sucks (speaking from my own experience with other Glorious products), is that it shockingly has side buttons only on the left side. Despite being marketed as an “AMBIDEXTROUS” gaming mouse. Even Razer figured that out.

How are people playing at 400 or 800 DPI without throwing their mice over the table?

it seems to me there is a possibility that the higher latency comes from the time between the start of the real movement and the first pixel that the sensor detects and sends to the cursor. in this case this test would be useless

I have tried around 30 mice (most of them were wireless) and i prefer 1200dpi. It feels incredible in desktop.

Unfortunately even top games haven't that slow sens to counteract high DPI. I mean the higher the DPI the better for aim and, as you showed, for movement latency but you need slower senss and that's so difficult if not impossible.

550 dpi is my favourite so far, I based it on my cursor being in the middle of the screen and my flicking to the four corners of my screen. play with 1.82 sense in CS2 and its freakin perfect ^u^.
my old dpi was 400 dpi 2.5 sens but this new one just feels way more snappy, more accurate and consistency in my shots.
