I agree the paint looks horrible but your out there doing and trying things! Keep it up and fck the haters! You saved a wrench and gave it a second life, for that your a hero

I use steel wool and WD40 to get rid of rust, it looks realy cool afterwards and makes a less ebrasive finish ive you oil it with balistol afterwards. The wire rush and anclegrinder was to aggresive imo. Also, I would only paint the Handle and coldblue the rest, the frictoonparts will scrup off anyway, but ive you make a cold blue finish at the top, the parts dont stick together after you didnt use it for a time. And it prefents rust from forming under it.
