72hrs on Ultra Luxury Sleeper Train | The Blue Train

If I ever win the lottery, I would love to spend the rest of my life on train journeys, ferry trips, cargo ship travel etc. What a relaxing way to travel and see the world.

I’m surprised it wasn’t hijacked given the state of things in the country - so sad - amazing train though and awesome video as always

When I heard the 55,000 price task I gasped, but then I saw the conversion price and calmed back down.

I cant imagine the struggles of a 3 day journey to CPT. We have airports jy weet lmaooo

I always would prefer Amtrak over this Blue Train..... In Amtrak I am not forced to dress up. And I can get also good food at least sometimes....and I feel free. Last time I also had a shower in my compartment.

These "Luxury Trains" (not only in South Africa) are a Rip Off....

Always love your trips with your Dad that trip didn't seem overly expensive either wonder what two people would cost in say your deluxe room as the bathtub although interesting not sure I could do it plus wouldn't fit anyway being tall.

Another excellent production mate. I'm surprised at the fares. Quite affordable - especially compared to the Australian Transcontinental trains (Indian Pacific, Ghan and Great Southern) each of these Australian trains are not as luxurious as The Blue Train but cost more than double what you've paid. Regular Aussies can't afford these trains here .. since the Government privatised them the private operators have marketed towards wealthy international tourists. These trains were very affordable until privatisation and were regular interstate commuter trains. The only way we can travel out of Western Australia (Perth) is to fly now. Your fares should be reimbursed by the Blue Train or South African government, given that many viewers (including myself) will contemplate doing that trip. Thanks again for another excellent video🙏👍

Great video as always. As you have done both luxury trains in South Africa, what would you recommend - Rovos Rail or Blue Train?

Was tipping included in the cost? Outside the USA, I found out that tipping is generally not required nor expected except at major tourist locales. Just curious if you did tip on these luxury trips abroad.

I really hope that we see the Safari video. it would be a welcome change them to see you on a train or a plane sleeping and eating.
