ОтветитьRenting a i bedroom apartment in the city I live is $2100. - $3000. a month. And if you think you will be saving money to RV living. You will be paying the same amount monthly by the time you factor in Gas, Insurance and on and on.
ОтветитьYou two are just delightful to see. I feel great and upbeat just to watch your VERY VERY GOOD VIDEOS. Been thinking about this for a while and yall sure help with your video creations.
Thank you so much, stay wonderful and funny too. Love it.
If your a Veteran you can visit a VA nation wide, which then we are already used to "saying" see you later..
ОтветитьTake 1 Zinc tablet everyday for stinky feet!
Within 2 weeks, you will be so happy!!!
glad you didn’t quit but that’s why i clicked soooooooo was this clickbait
ОтветитьJust found y'all so I subscribed! Hopefully you do make it to 100k by Xmas!!✌🐢
ОтветитьLove you guys. I've been on the road 3 weeks now. Just me and my two all dogs. Usually took trips for 2 to 3 months in the fall with my Mom. She died almost 3 years ago and now I'm solo. Catching all the fall foliage. Leaving Pennsylvania tomorrow to hit West Virginia. I just don't want to go home to Texas heat. I always try to camp in state parks
Much cheaper
The longer you stay the more you save. Diesel is 5.00 a gallon. Don't want to go home.
I wish more people would quit full-time RV life so that the rest of us who get just a few weeks vacation can travel and find a place to stay! Y'all are clogging up the limited campground spaces. Yep, it's a free country but this lifestyle shift has repercussions for others. Love your vibe together!
ОтветитьI've been a fulltime RVer for the last almost 5 years. The idea was to travel the lower 48 states within 5 years and by Dec 2023 I'll be able to check that box. I'm convinced though that fulltime RVing is not most people's cup of tea, but it is mine!. It is getting better. There are times when I wish I was back in my very nice (even luxurious) condo in Minneapolis MN where I had all the normal conveniences and where everything was walking distance. But the moment I realize that I'll have to go back to full time work for that, the feeling passes instantly. Instantly! I now get some SS , make a bit of money with Amazon and have some pension coming my way in 18 months time. It almost adds up to something. Life is good. Baja California this winter.
ОтветитьTry living on a boat with no slip on the West Coast.
ОтветитьThe Ninja 6-in-1 Grille took the place of an oven, a grille and more. It's worth the space it takes. Great video!
ОтветитьUnfortunately in recent times the cost of everything from gas to RV sites has skyrocketed as everyone is "profiteering" . Our favorite site went from $840 a month for a 3 month contract to $800 a month in a 24 month contract - that comes to $9600 a year because the demand is so high. We had to re-evaluate our RV living choices. When we did the Excell spread sheet on all the costs - gas - insurance - maintenance on the RV and the truck ... it came to $18000 a year - so much for the Winters in Florida.
ОтветитьTo day is 10-11- 2023
Was you and Reno on this day going to Best Buy?
I thought I seen the parking lot. As you were walking in to best buy and reno nevada
At last.. some honest content. Nice perspective and so true.
Entertaining as well. 🎉😂cheers! New subscriber!
Love you guys, such a cute couple ❤. I just bought a 2001 23ft class c for my retirement next year. I already live small, semi truck sleeper. My rv seems spacious compared to that lol. I'm an old lady with an old Yorkie and I don't plan on driving all over the place, I've already driven plenty as work. So I'll park on a friend's property in CO for the summer and Quartzsite, AZ in winter. Can't afford regular rv parks. Best wishes and safe travels to you!
ОтветитьMy worse is the winds and as you said small space
ОтветитьWith medical what places your insurance covers. We have lived in our RV 28ft towable for 8yrs in same spot. Bought it to travel in retirement. We hated the driving part lol.. we also only pay 250/mo and live on an acre of land❤
ОтветитьI have to move into a aliner camper because i’m getting evicted😢 I have 2 dogs so I am letting my ex take my shepherd while I keep my pit bull.
ОтветитьThanks for another great video!
ОтветитьMy spouse and I have been in a bumper pull for 2 yrs traveling, it gets more difficult setting up each place we go, anti-sway and stabilizing bars, leveling side to side and front to back, adding wobble boards for more stability and setting up 2 black/grey hoses at each park is a task as each place has different set ups. But, on the flip side you get to see amazing places. We just cut out some travel out west due to diesel prices $7/gal!!! So those are some real concerns. We’r trying for a 5th wheel as we wanted property for a home base but it is crazy expensive right now. I think being in a camper or class C can be challenging with space- clothes, linens, pantry for food and storage for tools you made need on the road! It is very limited and you have to watch the weight for towing,’it adds up quick. But again, flip side is also freedom to go at anytime.
ОтветитьTalking about burnout, before I sold my house in Atlanta to move full time rv living I did 3 1/2 months tour to the west visiting every national parks it was awesome but when I was by coos bay Oregon heading towards Seattle I got tired and drove straight back to Atlanta. I did this while working in the RV. I then decided to buy a house in Florida, rv living is not for everyone lol
Ответить😂❤😂❤BLESSINGS TO YOU BOTH 🦋 🙏 🕉☯️✝️🌼🌹🌼
ОтветитьAre you finding the parks, both fancy abd plain being very prohibitive to the style and age of your RV. ? So you pull in and find out your rig is too old to park there. Has that been an issue?
ОтветитьI drive truck and bus and the constant maintnance is just a thing when the vehcals rite now its hard for the trucking and bus comps also to even get parts in the last couple yrs because lots of the parts come from overseas when the carona virouse hit a lot of manufactures shut down so now it takes a long time to get parts epecaly sencers and chips under usal times its didnt take so long to get parts but for now it does 😊
ОтветитьGas in Central Jersey is around $3.50 a gallon for regular.
ОтветитьGreat reality check!
My big concern would be, what do you do for a mailing address?
I think it’s such a great life for you two, because you get along so super well! I absolutely enjoy your videos even if I never in a million years live the rv life….watching you two is super relaxing and fun…
ОтветитьI’m going to get a teardrop
ОтветитьSee you are a Grogu fan. I have two dolls and crochet many. Going on a cruise and will hide keychain Grogu dolls on the ship.
ОтветитьI don’t know what prompted this video but I’d have liked to know how you have come to the conclusion that people are quitting. I wish they would. Instead we find boondocking being restricted and people still complaining about crowded expensive campgrounds.
We spend winters in southern Mexico, our neighbors are mostly Europeans in campgrounds and the ocean is swimming warm. And it’s not crowded.
Excellent reality video. Everyone should watch this one.
Almost all full timers I knew quit within 5 yrs, the number one reason was BURNOUT.
You are so correct and spot on.
In 25 yrs of RVing. I’ve seen the crazy explosion in camping fees.
Most new Rvers don’t have any idea what a camp site cost just 5 yrs ago.
Fuel is a killer, especially for a Class A Diesel. Last summer on 6 week trip out west we had $7,000 in fuel costs.
The average RVer can’t afford those trips. Our current 6 week fall trip still is a bit costly. But our savior is our home base. When we get home we recharge for the next adventure. 4-5 months per yr on the road for us is enough.
I have been thinking about it for a long time. I am going to get a storage. My family don’t care for me. The only person is my son and my three Grandbabies. I want to do it for atleast two years. What about Satilight. I was going to get it. I have my dog. Do I think I can do it
ОтветитьPrivacy?? I get plenty of that...on hiking trails. Mostly always alone, except near trailheads.
Wild life are my "furry companions": love deer, elks, bears, coyotes, all sorts of birds.
I am a minimalist, my rig is a hard sided tent. It is not a home. If I want a home : I stay there. All I do is focused on optimizing wild life interaction....and limiting/eliminating conflicts...and learning.
I like to stay away from many people, that wrecks my photography (animals are shy)
I have 3 main projects: hiking (5 to 15 miles a day), photography and getting healthier every year (the test is the Rocky mountains in Summer.
IMO if you are not getting healthier on the road perhaps you should rethink the whole thing. I have no health issues, take zero drugs, but I like to just become stronger every year. Simple: diet and exercize. It is an experiment...sort of a science project (I am in my 70s). The great mountains are just so much more than the gym.
I carry only the essential, I do not have a chair, or a table for outside. I have taken stuff back to storage every year and just purchased only to replace what wore out. Except for backpacking gear.
There are food deserts to plan for since I never eat any processed food.
ATT has worked very well for me. If I absolutely need data I try not to head for the backcountry for a bit. No Starlink yet.
Extremely vigilant about weather and radar app when severe weather is expected.
Van maintenance very detailed every spring. We try and do antthing we can think of as preventative maintenance. So far 3 years no surprises. I dont do all the work but I have a real good idea of what is going on. The van is a pet, the animals are more like furry humans.
My cat (a great hiker) died in Colorado 2 summers ago. There will be another cat, trained like a dog ...mostly better, cats are amazing.
I would never want to RV, not even for vacation….but oddly, I love watching Tanya and Dave such a beautiful couple
ОтветитьMy costs are less than when I was living in a Los Angeles apartment. I love that I own my 5th wheel, instead of paying a landlord. For me, this is a huge plus. I am a solo female traveler, hiker, and I retired, so I have been fulfilling a bucket list of state and national parks. My only concern is I do not have any mechanical skills. it's just not in my genes!😅 Thank you for sharing your experiences!❤
ОтветитьWhat people don't understand is that RV living is not the same as a camping trip for a few days.
ОтветитьThe hard part about my RV life is... well... it doesn't exist yet (?).
Now a question of whether it ever will.
I started building my skoolie when Mom was in better shape than me, quite frankly. Mostly she only really needed me around during the first week of the month (can't see well enough to drive, a real handicap in the Midwest small towns.).
And then things changed. I changed from chauffeur/cook to 24 hour 365 days caregiver. They say what comes around goes around, but nobody wants it to go that far around!
Guess what got put on the back burner?
Now all the stuff I did to increase my range and comfort is just stuff. 😒
Now... I went and over did it, pushed myself too far.
Need heart surgery. That's been put off twice because trying to get help to take care of Mom, and critters. (Had them mostly trained for travel...)
In a way I wish I hadn't scavenged out of my skoolie, the hospital I'm supposed to go to for this surgery is over 120 miles away. And I can't see for driving at night anymore.
But I pulled out my (adjustable) bed because I needed to not be upstairs when Mom needed help. Then I brought my dc chest refrigerator in, first for my use, then turned it to a freezer because I need to defrost the house freezer... but some reason now it's full too. 😬
It's so frustrating!
Now I wonder if I will ever get to.
Freaking heart surgery. 😢 (needs to be a pouty face Emoji).
Explored civil sites , caves
ОтветитьTennessee is $3.00 gal
ОтветитьAlways look forward to your videos.
Ответитьin rv lived once but not because i wanted to. it was shelter so i did not have to sleep on the street. big thing cops knocking on door telling me to move
ОтветитьAnymore the full time RV life is really just being homeless in a very expensive tent
ОтветитьU guys always say that!
ОтветитьI find that it is not difficult to understand your explanation regarding 7 reasons why RVers are quit their RVlife. It is also no different than there are many other reasons why people also quit "living in a house life."
When someone stated that Vanlife/RV life is hard is not for everyone, it is also true because these people are lacking of resources and money. In life all hardships, if they are can be solved with money, then having money would not having problems with hardships.
All of your 7 reasons or more can be solved if one has so much money. It becomes a problem when one doesn't want to pay for ... for whatever the reason. For example, if one have a lot of money when RV breaks down then rent a car and stay in expensive hotel/resort. When many things are expensive, it doesn't really affect you if you have a lot of money.
You wouldn't believe how the power of money can solve a problem or proactively can prevent a problem to exist in the first place. Money is everything and everything is boiling down to money.
The wife and I went from a big 2,700 square feet home to a 30' fifth wheel living in a permanent RV Park just outside of Wickenburg, AZ. We couldn't be happier! Wish we did this 30 years ago. We are saving a boat load of money and a whole lot more freedom.
ОтветитьI never knew how much my husbands feet reeked until we took to the road! But this kind of life ain't for the faint of heart. No siree. Making the bed up everynight and putting it away every morning is my favourite gripe and I only have to watch Mr do it! But yeah, we understand all that you say. Like I say, not for the faint of heart.
ОтветитьI love you
