How to Use Your Planner Every Day in 2024 | 8 Easy Tips

My word is "refuge". It's a reminder to make my home a place of reduge from the storms of life, to be a true friend, and to seek the Lord when those storma come.

I do not like to decorate in advance so that my plans fold in nicely with the decor. I will only do the next month during the last week of the current one. This is the first year I went from a vertical to a dashboard Happy Planner and I was so scared of building a different decorating style. It is still awkward, but I am loving how much more fits into the layout!

My word of the year is Consistency.

I have a phrase for the year: Keep Moving Forward. I know we all know this but I just wanted to keep reminding myself of this in 2024.

I just recently discovered the power of using a planner and was thrilled to see your video on the topic! After thinking what my word of the year would be I remembered how I have been focusing on frugality and saving money to buy a used car with cash. I am excited about focusing on "Frugality" this year!

I feel stronger this year.. "challenge"

Joy. Someone gave me a Christmas ornament if an Angel with the word Joy on it. She told me I needed more Joy. I've been pretty unhappy the last 2 years. I guess it isn't going unnoticed. So that is my word for this year.

Even though I have no planner... But it was useful to watch this video

My word of the year is Truth. Being truthful with others and with myself, living out my truth. If I have to lie about something then I am not living in harmony with my truth.

My word of the year is Change. I started with the word Acceptance, but that felt too passive so I decided Change is a much better way to approach this year in a very challenging season of life. Thank you for these tips. They are very helpful.

I chose a similar word… I picked “ease” for 2024. Life will still be hard at times but I want to weave in more ease in to my days.

We use our planners in a very similar fashion and you express the same sentiment as I do about not knowing how you got stuff done before you planned :) And I also have those same flower stickers that I use in my planner, which is the only typ of sticker I use. I've been at it ten years now.

I love the planners. I tried ones that were not dated and having dates helps so much. I also wanted ones the combined time and to do's as so many have one and not the other. I am going to try time blocking this year and get more accomplished at night. My word of the year is Fun!

My word is “cheery.” I did not want to “crush” anything this year, but wanted a gentler approach, and have found Powersheets by Cultivate What Matters to be very useful—and beautiful. Don’t let the “power” fool you, as it did me for a long time. It’s gentle, values-based, and beautiful to work with. Happy New Year, everyone 💐

My word of the year is - "Edwardian Lady" - which is a reference to the published botanical diary of Edith Holden, art work of Beatrix Potter. Aside from the children's books, Ms. Potter was an accomplished landscape artist and fungi painter. Both ladies seemed to exude a love of simple nature study and taking time to be really be present in their environment. Planning time to sketch instead of snapping a photo on my phone:-) One wonders what they'd make of today's mobile-phone obsessed world.

Excellent advice. I am a planner person, but not utilizing it to the fullest. I will be implementing these. My word is “gentle”.

My words of the year, as I told a friend, are Joy and Surrender. I told her I couldn't pick just one without the other, and she said well "thats because if you think about it, you need both to be able to have them exist." So deep.
