What the fck is with this soundtrack! Has literally nothing to do with the vibe of this movie. Such a weird choice. I thought this was a remade trailer till I saw it was on Paramount. This is absolutely atrocious music for this film.

This is a weird romance movie.. not a comedy... disappointment of a movie... strong start turned into a weak execution

This couldn't possibly turn out well, people are way too effed-up to be trusted to be small around; and some people would have to stay big for many reasons. Update: They're quite right about the permafrost methane, and it's not going to be 100s of years but a decade or two. As for Ngoc, she seems to have been around. What other types of fornication reasons are there?

Wish I'd watched this trailer before watching the movie. Didn't like it at all.

this was one of the best movies I've ever seen, with such strong characters and emotions. It speaks about important topics such as overpopulation and climate change, it's a movie that makes you THINK, based on this trailer, it's not what you think it's gonna be like :)

They are spot on. This movie presents a concept and tosses it away immediately.

Too many privileged westerners are complaining just when they saw Asians and Latinos in the movie.

The beginning was great then it got super boring. Also, the movie relied heavily on stereotypes. I wish it was a little more original for such a cool concept of a movie.

This movie was.... different! It's certainly original. The ridiculous and meandering plot(s) would come across as being just plain bad if it wasn't for the enjoyable performances that can let you actually believe it.

why people want to make themselves small ? doesnt make sense. small guy cannot fight even a cockroach, and could stay at the place designed for. It's worse than going to jail.

I love Matt Damon but I have to say, this may be the worst Movie I have ever seen. The trailer is so misleading. It's not funny and has no ascertainable plot AT ALL. My husband actually fell asleep!!! After the first 20 minutes, it takes off in way too many directions, one not having anything to do with the other! What a weird and useless movie.

I have seen the his movie 3 times now. I swear on everything I hold dear that the first two times I watched it that it ended with the world being flooded and everyone dying. I just watched it for the third time just now and nobody dies and it's a nonchalant ending? I refuse to believe they did not change the ending.

How do you take one of the most interesting film concepts and make it incredibly boring and generic

The elites will downsize everyone but themselves.

When you trust a guy with a German accent insisting that there is only one solution (see Adolf and Klaus).

I know it is a fantasy... but... still... the science is just too stupid to keep the suspension of disbelief.

If you go in thinking this is a comedy you will be disappointed. I seem to be one of a few that really liked this movie. Acting was great, story was original and it left me thinking about it for a few days. If you're not into watching movies that make you ask yourself questions and just want to watch the usual over the top stuff then this is not for you. If you believe in climate change, then I think this movie will make you think a little more about it.

The movie wasn't bad; Great acting, thoughtful storylines and main plot, but it was advertised as a comedy........ So, it's totally understandable why it didn't receive rave reviews, it wasn't geared towards the intended audience.
It's definitely apart of the "Drama" genre of movie. It's a serious and borderline depressing movie.

I will never understand how they took an interesting concept and then turned it into a movie about global warming in the worst possible way.
