Factorio Circuit Network Tutorial - Absolute Basics

Wow.....

This game (as of 2023) has nice detailed tutorials on the very basic functions and almost nothing about the circuit network.
I really hope they add it some day in the future. For now, we're stuck with hour-long fan videos.

I wonder what percentage of Factorio players use binary in their arithmetic combinators.

Thanks for this great tutorial. It helped me understand things much better than other tutorials. I see myself only using a small subset of what circuit networks have to offer, such as oil related flow control and some alarms, and not any of the more advanced configurations highlighted.

That moment when you're tired of playing games with not much depth and then Factorio comes along with this stuff. I'm daunted but eager to learn like a kid :)

Just want to know how to have one main bus of 4 supply everything but only when needed. So main bus will send 2000 iron plate then 50 iron gears then whatever all down the same narrow ass hole.

I always used the accumulator to turn a water pump on and off for my steam engines. It could still cycle a bit but not as fast as just hooking up directly. Also uses way less wire because you are only cycling one thing on and off. The set-reset station is a good idea tho! Also, it makes me feel smart when I came up with stuff by myself, like the pumps controlling the oil cracking!

Thinking of using a SR latch to call and dismiss supply trains based on the amount of items in a chest. Set when items goes below 100, reset when items go above 300.

Awesome video, but my IQ topped when learning how to do trains. God this game is complex and that makes it so good and entertaining.

Best Factorio Circuit Tutorial out of the last 10 I have watched so far. Super comprehensive, and although one can fast forward some parts, I still had to re-watch many parts to truly understand the game's conventions.

Do you have a tutorial on robots? I was searching for one and couldn't find with this name. The logistics robot, combat robots and the other that I forget. Distance between ports and what then can do.

I a m trying to do some tests and just cant find a way to output multiple signals. The combinators can only 1 value. I also tried to use the constant combinator and turning it ON and OFF using a Switch based on a condition on the switch, but it doesnt work, seems that the switch works only on power system. There is a way to achieve that?

I jsut started playing satisfactory and this vide owas amazing. I am software programmer and loved your explanation of binary bitwise operators. Anyone will be able to understand that. Excelente job!

Would you care to provide an example of a power transfer? Such as transferring your steam-powered or natural resource-consuming outputs to use the accumulators as often as possible & recharge them from the solar panels during the day. For the purpose of consuming as little natural resources as possible and have them basically as a fallback to kick in when accumulators have drained. Alas, I've not finished the video yet either. I'm just eager to figure this out... I have finished the video or the majority of it anyway, but this comment shall remain as a testament to my ignorance. Ty, I believe I have what I need.
