5G vs 4G Du Home Wireless, is it really better? Actual download and upload speed comparison

Just to clarify. The old router is only 4G router. The 2.4G and 5G that I am mentioning in the video are referring to GHz frequencies. A 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter ranges. The 4G and 5G you see on the new router are referring to the network. Later I found out that they have only one 5G antenna which is in different part of the city hence no real 5G for me :) But I am satisfied with the new speed even on 4G.

Du started to cheap out on the router really bad earlier it used to be Nokia fastmile 3.1 5G router which is much better since it’s also WiFi 6. This router cost barely 300-400 AED from Ali express.

I have du 4G, too slow. Max speed is 5-6 mbps.

The Nokia Fastmile 5G router provides a very fast 4G connection (120mbps) and regularly connects to 5G at around 500mbps. Not sure why Du have changed the router that comes bundled with this package.

i just upgraded today from 4g wifi to 5g wifi
downlaod speed on files on 4g wifi was around 5mb and on the new 5g wifi is around 11mb

is there option on the 5g wifi settings to make it 5g only?

Hi It’s mirsaj here, I have same 5g router which is my brother left here with me, my Personal Du sim postpaid I have too much data, I want to use this SIM card with this router. But with mobile data works, but when I put SIM card in this 5G router internet is not showing. I don’t know what to do? Can you please help me?

the Du 5G Wireless is only worth if you stay in a area where DU's 5G coverage is available and where i stay in Sharjah DUs tower is just few 100 meters away from my house and i get average 100 to 300 mpbs speed during peak time like morning to evening and 500 to 700 mbps after midninght where most people are sleeping, one thing you wont get more than 300 mbps speed on smartphones but only on laptops and PC you will get full speed like 500 to 700 mbps

Beware before buying

We bought this router. Most of the time you will not have 5g network. Forget about 5g even 4g also doest work properly. Fed up complaining e everyday.

Du is not giving any guarantee for speed it may work in mbs or kbps as well.

Once you bought its like commitment no mark internet works or not you have to pay for 1 year. If you cancel you before one year have to pay cancellation charges + remaining month monthly charges.

It's just a marketing to make people ....

On my Samsung S23 ultra, there is no 5g signal inside the house, but only 5g kn the balcony. You think thisnrouter can get betge signal? Im afraid buying this DU becaus ei do t want to be committed to a slow internet for 1 year. Is there a way I can increase the 5g signal??
