Escribí desde mi sentimiento como etíope en Israel. Canciones más bien políticas y sociales. […] Hagas lo que hagas, aunque vivas en Israel, eres etíope. Tus padres te han criado como a un etíope, porque viven en un entorno de cultura etíope. Hasta más o menos los veinticinco años, luchaba para ser considerado un israelí. Pero llega un punto de tu vida que te das cuenta de que no solo eres de Israel. Y que eres ambas cosas. […] Hay algo muy importante que debemos comprender. Sin raíces, como los árboles, podemos hundirnos muy rápido. Pero si tienes las raíces bien cimentadas, no importa lo que te digan o lo que te hagan. Hay que comprender la historia y la cultura de cada uno. Llevarla consigo».
