Hello Olga
I’m aware your no longer in Antalya
Question about apartments, condo etc are you required to have a credit report? Like in USA peoples credit report is a major consideration, 1st & deposit is required. Unsure what we should be prepared to present when we start apartment housing?

Don't understand why lira inflation is a problem for expats if you're using your dollars, or euros😮

Just found your channel… ❤ just got back from Turkey… November 2023…. We have been to Turkey about 6 times over many years … it was our first time back in years…. Yes it was very expensive even though it was 35TL to the £… one thing I hated was that you were quoted in euros all the time for taxis etc it was very hyper inflated prices and you would get ripped off that way… we just wanted to use the TL as we are in Turkey not Europe….we Stayed in Antalya…. Couldn’t use our mobiles out there… left it on flight mode.. as to receive text or calls whilst out there would leave you with a hefty bill when you got back home…. Loved the beauty of Antalya we stayed in Lara Beach…Kundu… beach was lovely…we had to go to Antalya to shop… lots of shopping malls there…. we love bazaars not any real bazaars in Antalya…. Antalya is great if you don’t mind staying in 5 star hotels… and doing nothing…. You have to travel one and half hours to get to the city….by bus…. Buses are good and run often and are very cheap…most excursions are too far and expensive to visit…love Turkey. Antalya is beautiful eg mountains and scenic wise…but I wouldn’t visit Antalya again…there’s nothing to do …. Outside of the hotels…

Im visiting turkey in the fall for first time. Ive lived in mexico for four years, and rent, inflation on a similar track. If i were younger id chase the best cost of living! But know that costs never stsy fixed anywhere. Just live below your means as much as possible, and youll protect yourself!!❤❤❤

We lived in Istanbul for 2 years and loved every part and place we visited. The only black spots were when I had my wallet lifted (my fault I should have known better) and when Erdogan staged his phoney coup in order to cull all the academics (we were there representing Cambridge University) Until then there was always a feeling of safety. I would certainly return to Turkei. The people in the cities are just like people in cities everywhere, the people in the country are maybe a little suspicious of strangers but overall it is a very friendly country

Thankyou for your informational video and appreciate all the honesty and the transparency of what it might be to live in a place like Turkey specially for people like us who are maybe thinking of retiring there being that my husband is as well Dutch and myself from Dubai and now settled in the USA. But like everyone we are looking for a country that will help take our dollar further and give us more value for our money in a country that is good to expats and is safe with a neutral culture that is welcoming to all who visits and reside there. Wishing you both the best in your future endeavors!

I bought an appartment in Izmir in early February of 2022. This was just days before the Ukraine war started. It was at a very decent price. Prices have since then skyrocketed and my investment has at a minimum doubled in value. I will be visiting Turkey in July of this year with family including our little baby. It will be very interesting to see what the vibes are in Turkey.

We are so friendly of course, our country is amazing, you can live four seasons at the same time, foods, beaches and lots of things.. But as a native, it is getting hard to live in our own country because of the economic problems. You can buy a house easily in Turkiye however Turkish people couldn't even afford rent . For foreigners it can be so cheap country , of course come , visit , enjoy even move but I do not approve of foreigners buying houses in Turkiye anymore . Because at this rate, we will be unable to afford living in our own country.

I’m from Turkey and living abroad for 6 years for my studies. I can understand you and I agree with you in terms of inflation. Also when you are a foreigner, even the language may seem to be annoying after some years. I can understand that. We are all not racist of course but after some years, you feel that this country did its job and let’s move to another place.

Question to you: why have you not bought a place last year? But you are right, the salmon price "skyrocketing" and gluten are deal breakers. As a gluten intolerant person, it is so hard to find food in Turkey. After cheating on gluten multiple times, I completely cut restaurant food now.
