I was looking at family photos today and saw a picture from my great auntie’s wedding in 1980 and her dress looked so Victorian. This girl would of loved it. It was frilly with long sleeves and a turtleneck. No offence to my aunty or this girl, but I can’t believe that used to be considered fashionable. It was so matronly. Like a literal Victorian matron.

I really liked the dress as is when she walked out! It looked very Victorian with that beautiful lace yet the cape made it very modern-a perfect marriage but she got her perfect dress! I am actually shocked that the salon doesn't have any high necked dresses. Lace, long sleeves and a high neck is about as classic wedding gown as you can get so I would expect all bridal shops to have at least a couple of examples.

Personally I don't like her dress to covered up.

Strapless has become the bridal uniform. Brides say they want something different from other brides and they all come out looking the same. The only part that really changes is the bottom. Not all of us are fans of strapless. I'd get married in jeans and a tshirt before I'd wear strapless.
