Analysing The Tomb Raider 4-5-6 Remaster Trailer

Omg no wayyyyy! I finally purchased 1-3 remaster last night!
I’m so excited for Angel of Darkness!
I remember how janky it was, and never beat it as a kid, but absolutely LOVED the story. I watched my dad play and beat it.
I tend to enjoy when a game explores the classic elements: earth, air, fire, water.
It reminds me of the Thief games a bit in that aspect (another series I’m dying to replay from my childhood)
I’m so happy these games are being remastered! Incredibly nostalgic, especially TR3.

Wait what about young Lara? Has anyone seen her remaster?

I really hope that AOD curse doesn't hit again... I feel skeptical about their ability to make a good remaster with that amount of work. Furthermore, AOD deserved to be rebooted rather than remastered. It would have been worth the effort to re-do the game in the way that it was originally intended

I guess I'll finally finish TLR and AOD. Maybe I'll even enjoy AOD.

I remember that I hated that in AoD there were no double pistols (?) so I saw a cheating PS2 cd in a ware house and bought it and it enabled her to have two guns like in the previous games. So pointless but I was only 11....

I always wanted to finish AOD, but never got to because I got frustrated playing the first release and it was too buggy to finish. This time, I hope to complete it with the remaster.

I'm super looking forward to these games. From the moment I first fire up the 1-3 remaster my first thought was "oh god, just imagine The Last Revelation done like this!"
Though in a more personal way I really can't wait for AoD. My uncle-in-law worked on the game, responsible for the Parisian Ghetto. He used family names for shops, such as 'Deb's Discs' (my mother-in-law). The photos around Carviers apartment are family photos so it will be interesting to see what they do with them in the remaster. I also so desperately want to see what they do with the box of 'Wayno's' in Carviers kitchen that he left as a signature hah!

How do 4 and 5 compare with the versions that came out on the Dreamcast. That was a gen above PS1.
Granted it was ports with higher texture then PS1. But Wonder how it compares to this new version

I haven't played TR:4 in years. But I'm almost certain I got the Ammit puzzle wrong and used the Explosive Crossbows and the UZI's to kill it.

I am very curious how AOD will turn out remastered. Will Aspyr include some of the early alpha version levels that never got released officially? Will Aspyr include the cut content like levels in germany and turkey? Will Aspyr fix the broken controls from the original game? I am sure TR4 and TR5 will be as perfect as the other remasters. But I am really worried about AOD. It's still my favourite game in terms of storytelling, visuals, atmosphere and soundtrack. But it had so many flaws due to it's troubled production. I would have loved a true remake. A start for a new trilogy as originally planned.

I bought AoD when it came out and still have my copy for PS2. I never made it very far because the game was so buggy but I always wanted to like it. I tried replaying it a few years ago and yikes. But now with this remaster I’m hoping to be able to experience the game I always wanted to.

I'm sure with extra AOD enemies are a sign that the combat is actually more of a factor now

I noticed they added mouse look to TR 123 on the Remaster release, so finally I can play these games.

It was so much fun to watch, thank you so much. I'm so excited for TR IV that's for sure. But AOD remastered rented a huge area in my mind for free <3

The fact that they actually listened to the fans and remastered AoD warms my heart. I’ve wanted it so badly, so to get it now I’m just so happy I could cry lol.

As far as i remember i played Tomb Raider 5 the most next to the first game. I really liked it, even that much people say it was a downfall. I dont understand it anyway cause Tomb Raider 4-5 (and even 3) had much new content and game mechanics.

I am buying a switch just to play this! I work in ships and move a lot but I don’t want to miss on this ! 🤠 My first love was TR4 and there’s where I’m starting by muahahaha

I hope for a phsyical Tomb Raider 4-6 remaster version, the entire OG Tomb Raider games NEED disc versions.

I’m so excited!! IV and AOD was one of my favorites TRs, I hope they fix the AOD so we can get the dual pistols (without cheat codes)!!!

Slide to run means most likely if you slide down a slope forwards and when you hit a plane bottom you will go into run instead of stumbling walk when holding forward.

Those Games need remakes not remasters :/

I hope we will be able to put the TR2 outfit to Lara because she still use it on the FMV but not in game. I also hope that the improvements made to the character model and other elements will put back to the first trilogy

My first Tomb Raider game ever was Chronicles, which I love and still replay yearly to this day! I went a bit backwards by playing the games in reverse order by playing the fifth, fourth, third game etc all the way to the first. I love them all and am super excited for the next remaster instalments!

Tomb Raider 4 and 5 were my first full TR games, so I'm super excited for this. I've actually been modding TR1-3R to feel more like the later titles (also including some TR3, my first TR demo and intro to the series) to maximize my nostalgia; in fact, before these remasters, I was waiting for someone to remake the original trilogy in TRLE, with Chronicles' updated graphics, sounds and all.

If XProger and team have more budget and time, they might even be able to slip in a remastered TRLE, which would've been cool.

I grew up with TR games and of course loved the 1st and LOVED the 4th, (next comes 2, 5 and 3 of the games until Legend, Anniversary & Underworld era, NOT the AoD and not the 2013, Rise of TR etc), the old ones.
I wonder if some kind of Anniversary edition for TR4 The Last Revelation (even how many.. 25-26 years after the original release?) is a bad idea or not, I mean a totally new TR4:Anniversary game like the TR1:Anniversary the first one, just imagine a version of TR4 which combines the magic of the whole game in Egypt with new riddles, new moves, new levels, new graphics and sound, bigger or not but ... not a remastered version of it and of course with not the hardware limitations of 1999 like then.
It might be too late for that, isn't it (??) because as far as I understand and if it's right, even the remaster versions are created by users and not by companies.

I'm waiting for Tomb raider remastered 1-3 to come in the mail. Definitely going to pre-order Tomb raider remastered 4-6. I will be playing Tomb raider remastered 1-3 and hopefully finish all three games by the time 4-6 comes out in 2025

Hopefully they fix AOD up good. The story was so good in it, it's a bummer that most people couldn't get over the bad controls. It's a shame that we probably won't be seeing the cut levels return because I feel like the game needed some more levels, but if they can fix the controls and restore a handful of cut features, then it would be a lot more unified.

It's really difficult to have a favorite....but The Last Revelation was my all time favorite...

I think slide-to-run might be a feature that you can use whilst using dash. If you let go of dash/sprint, she will slide and eventually stop. Maybe, if you don't use much of the sprint bar, let go, the she slides, and, if you gold the button after a payse she will resume sprinting rather than stopping alrogether.

Killing Agmet? Aye, you could do that along with other guardian creatures with poison crossbow bolts. Ahmet would combust on fire and fall onto the ground after shooting it through the bars around 15 or so times.

"Slide to run" could be an option to allow Lara to run immediatly after sling on a slope surface. Removing the short animation where she regains her balance

Ammit is killable in TR4, it just respawn i this cage.
