I hate Jim McKay - this brings back bad memories of bad announcing that hurts the content. He is such a self absorped jackass. Had no imagination or real style or sense of the moment . He's a corporate paint by numbers announcer full of cliches and loving to state the obvious.

Why did it look like the horses were held back in the Canadian race to let Secretariat win so big on his last race...

The biggest change is stop racing 2yr. Olds no horse should be raced as a 2 year old as there bones are still developing building muscles wait until a horse is 3 before it is put on a track this will stop most injuries. Also breeding practices breed for a bigger stronger hoof instead of these very small hoofs that do break down. Both of these things cost the breeders money so it is not going to happen they are only interested in greed and prestige which gives them power

Salute to the first 11 horses and now also American Pharaoh and Justify.

Since his records for all Triple Crown races, still stand 50 years later, I think that speaks for itself.. Secretariat.

The greatest horse of all times is Big Red. Nick name of Man o War and Secretariat. Man o War: was a better stud, 28 ft stride of 110 degrees, 1/2 hand taller. 21 races with 20 wins, a majestic horse just look at the conformance visible in his statue in Lexington. 2017 was his 100 year anaversary. I love Secretariat ❤️ but see a greatness in Man o War. Too bad he didnt run in all 3 races of the triple crown he would be on this documentary.

Alydar was close enough to bite Affirmed in the butt at each race, so close to greatness.

The great Jim McKay, always makes me think of horse racing or the Indy 500.

We need an updated version to include American Pharaoh and Justify!!
