If Austria-Hungary had actually declared war way sooner, odds are WW1 would have never happened, because at first pretty much all the great powers agreed that Serbia has a part in it and saw Austria-Hungary's justification as righteous. But AH took so long to mobilize that everyone figured it was no linger over Franz and more over exerting control over the Balkans.

К сожалению, не рассказано, а какого хрена Сербия имела гарантии независимости от Российской империи, а ведь это очень важно - не вступи российский царь Николай II в войну на стороне сербов-цареубийц, Франция могла и утонуть под немецким натиском, а Россия бы избежала кровавой гражданской войны. Да, я знаю, что это Германия объявила войну России, но это было сделано в ответ на объявление общей мобилизации - царь определенно сам готовился вступить в войну на стороне Сербии и Франции.
