Watching him back then, he reminded me so much of Beardsley, whom Souness had let go from Liverpool. I can only imagine how much more Macca would have grown having Beardsley in the same side. Letting some of Dalglish's players leave, I feel to stamp his own print on Liverpool, cost Souness, and young lads like Macca that came through.
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid at school the footballing debates were about who was better; Giggs or McManaman
Ответить"Unstoppable"? I feel like I'm being trolled. Noodle legs had so much talent in the way of dribbling, but could never produce any consistent crossing, goal scoring or involvment in the game, he also had zero defensive capability.
He was basically, Ryan Giggs lite!
Hes like tall coutinho
ОтветитьPAYED? is that a new word? I always thought is was PAID.
ОтветитьCracking player but somewhat inconsistent. Steve McManaman is a prime example of why you don't build a team around one player if you want to be seriously successful at the top level.
ОтветитьEngland has always had terrible habit of ignoring their best English player for the national team. Glenn Hoddle, Matt Le Tisser, and Steve McManaman.
ОтветитьI would have thought that the player was Robbie Fowler. He was an absolute goal machine.
Ответитьhe was liverpool's zidane at that time.
Ответитьalways luv him at Liverpool .... I got no issues with him moving to Madrid .... we are shit under Souness and Evans
ОтветитьAbsolutely agree …..Macca was a world great at Madrid ….
ОтветитьHe waighed under 60 kg. Could run like a kenyan. Sub 30 min for 6 miles is the rumours...
ОтветитьMc manaman was world class
ОтветитьBroke my heart when and how Macca left.
ОтветитьHe was bubble gum and never forgiven for effin off
ОтветитьAs a liverpool fan i was pretty bitter when he left us for free. I always felt not getting a proper fee for Owen and no money for Macca set us back as were were not able to replace either of them with players of a similar level of quality. It hurt as a fan because at the time it told me they did not respect the club or the fans who had put them where they were, only their own personal careers/achievements. I still believe this. However watching this made me remember what a player he could be on his day and why i was so gutted when he chose to pursue his career at a bigger club leaving us to 20 years of mediocrity.
ОтветитьHere here underated to the max absolutely brilliant player never ever gave up🏆
ОтветитьSM and Gascoigne were superb in 1996
ОтветитьZola was the player Fergie feared. He’s said so himself.
ОтветитьHe’s no Liverpool legend he never won shit with us and I hate his commentary
Ответить"...after being dumped out by Bristol."
Show some respect.
Would you say after being dumped out by Manchester?
After being dumped out by Sheffield?
Shaggy was a brilliant player, unfortunately in poor Liverpool sides in his time in a red shirt.
I think many reds forget how good he actually was.
*paid
ОтветитьGoals aren’t his job.
He wasn’t the striker.
Really?….. him? Ok he was a decent player, but he was hardly a world beater.
ОтветитьOne of the most HATED ex Liverpool players ever. Foreign fans will never understand this only scousers will understand this
ОтветитьPayed…
ОтветитьSteve Mcmanman is the best
ОтветитьThe fact ppl actually thought Beckham was better than macca is fkin mental this lad could do anything if he was Brazilian the world would go mental
ОтветитьHe's a gr8 player giggs
ОтветитьHow Liverpool didn’t make the most of having ‘stars’ like McManaman and Fowler in the 90s, (not to mention other top class players), is an absolute disgrace.
The team had ‘bags of attacking flair’, but defensively, they were as brittle as balsa wood, with none more so than the pathetic keeper, ‘David ‘Calamity’ James.
R9 was the player
ОтветитьDid he score in a champions league final against valencia for real before ?
ОтветитьOverrated English shi
ОтветитьI love Macca
The Nicole Kidman of football
He was underated no one speaks about him
ОтветитьRyan Giggs scored way more
ОтветитьMy favorite player after Fowler 🤟
ОтветитьSubbed just for the love ya put into this. Well done lad ❤
ОтветитьShit, overrated player who never turned out for England. 37 caps for England, only 3 goals and mostly anonymous. Wank.
ОтветитьForgotten for a good reason
ОтветитьSuperb player that astonishingly never gets the attention he deserves like alot of players from his era.
ОтветитьHe played with R9.....
ОтветитьShould be talked about in the same way Gareth Bale is now.
ОтветитьIf you saw Mcmananan’s performances for England post 96 you’d understand why he didn’t get much of a look in. He was abysmal
ОтветитьSorry grahan1979. Do you know where he ended up?
ОтветитьAlways enjoy your stories. Macca leyenda del Real Madrid ❤
